Summit Tree Care

Soon after I initially called, Bob came out and gave a quote that was less than half of what two other companies had quoted, and less than a third of one of them! After that communication to set up a time for the job was a bit shaky - they didn't respond promptly, and then Bob called and asked if they could come the next day - a bit short notice - but I could manage it and wanted the work done. Bob and his team showed up on time and got the work all done in two hours, including trimming back some large limbs of a large overhanging oak tree, and pruning a non-flowering pear tree and a small apple tree. Bob also agreed on the spot to do a couple of extra things that hadn't been included in the quote for an extra $100. They did an excellent clean up when they were done - I didn't have to pick a single twig up! They took all the trimmed material with them after dragging it all out of my back yard. I'm giving a 'B' for professionalism because I felt there was a slight language barrier when I tried to engage with Bob on site, and would have liked it if he could have taken more time to explain exactly what he was doing and why. I wanted to be sure that he and his team really knew how to care for the trees and not just hack them back. In the end I felt that they did know, but better communication would have helped me personally. Overall they did a great job and at a very reasonable price.

Bob and his team did an amazing job pruning four Redwood trees on our property. These Redwoods were well overdue for a service. The team's artistic, yet effective approach on trimming these Redwoods to optimize tree health and growth has made them the centerpiece on our lot. Birds are enjoying them and the neighbors are too. As far as cleanup is concerned, the team left little to no trace at all when it comes to the tree trimmings.

The crew was very professional and did all work quickly.  They cleaned  up all derbies  which filled the chip truck completely.  I wanted the Japanese maple topped but they advised me against doing that since it would not look right when the leaves began to fill out.  I went with their judgment and the tree looks beautiful.  They did a great job and the yard looks great.

As I said they did a great job. The came on time and did the work quickly and cleaned up. Could not be happier with their job. They are coming back to do more work for me next week.

They were some problems, they broke some block of tiles. When i called them back to reimburse me but it took me an awful long time. I wasn't 100 percent pleased with them and i wasn't 100 percent displeased either. They were confused about price, they would quote me one price and then the person who came to do the work did not know what was quoted.

It was excellent. They gave a written estimate. They stayed by the estimate. They completed the work satisfactorily. They were on time. They completed the work as discussed. I was happy with it. I think I've used them more than once already.

It was a very positive experience from start to finish. Bob, the owner of Summit Tree Care, came out to provide us with a
detailed estimate of what the cost would be. We interviewed several other tree services and we were most impressed with
Bob because of his knowledge of trees and tree work and his vast experience. The price was very fair. The tree was on the property line and the crew was very careful not to damage the neighbors's property and cleaned up all debris. The crew was extremely
professional and did an excellent job cutting down the tree as well as cleaning up. All of the crew was very pleasant and polite. We would definitely hire Summit Tree Care again and recommend them to our friends and family.

Excellent all around service! The crew are very capable and know what they're doing from stump removal to planting new trees. They have been working for Bob, I recall him saying, for over 20 years. Price is reasonable compared to others, not the cheapest, but they get the job done right the first time.

They cleaned everything up and took away the wood and clippings. They did a great job and the price was wonderful. Very happy with their work and price.

A very experienced crew arrived with new equipment and worked nonstop until the trees were pruned. Not only were the trees trimmed efficiently, but all clippings were chipped/removed. Excellent service!

Quick and painless.

I had a great experience with Summit Tree Care, right from the get-go. Bob, the owner, is very nice and knowledgable and reasonable in price and approach. He has a stellar crew that has worked for him for many years. Truly professionals that use the right tools and equipment and get the job done right the first time. They had a tough time getting in the medium size stump grinder, but did so without damaging anything in tight areas. It took a long time to maneuver it, but the crew was patient and knew what they were doing. I was blown away how many small adjustments that thing could make to get into tight areas to get to back yard. I look forward to blooming crape myrtles in the Spring! The previous trees (sycamore, ash) were root evasive and destroying my grass, sprinkler lines, and started lifting sidewalk.

They removed it quickly for a fixed price and they did a great job of
cleaning up afterwards. I highly recommend them for tree removal.

Bob came when he said he would, gave me a written estimate. Told him
that I would like to proceed with the job and needed it done fairly
quickly (within a week). He told me he would make it happen. Called me
later that day, told me his crew finished another job early and could
take the trees out that afternoon. His crew had arrived by the time I
got home. they were very professional and also very attentive to safety
(using lanyards when climbing, etc). They left the place spotless, the
only way I could tell there were here is the fact that the trees were
gone. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Summit Tree Service and I will definitely be calling them for my future tree service needs. GREAT COMPANY!!

They called me back immediately! (That's surprisingly rare.) And within two days had someone come out to look over our project. He gave us some advice on one of our ailing trees ,which we really appreciated, and wrote up an estimate while he was still at our house. There was no pressure. He said, and quot;Just let us know what parts you'd like to do now and we'll be right out.and quot;
We set an appointment to get the work done just a couple of days later. They came on time, took everything out, walked us through the final review to be sure we were satisfied, cleaned up and left us our lovely pile of woodchips.

They were great. I have used them several times. I am not going to use any other company.

We needed to have our Silver Maple trimmed and cleaned up in general. I initially found this company on Angie's List and then followed that up with some additional internet research. I found nothing but rave reviews for the company in all of the areas that were important to us (i.e., quality, reliability, punctuality, cost, etc.). I called and left a message on Wednesday afternoon requesting an appointment for an estimate. My call was returned a couple of hours later and an appointment was made for the next day. The owner arrived on time Thursday morning, inspected the tree, gave me a very reasonable estimate, and made an appointment to have his crew come out and trim the tree on Friday. The crew, led by the owner's very professional foreman of 20 years, came out on time Friday morning, completed the job without any disruption to us, and then cleaned up and hauled away all of the debris in very short order.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone looking for a tree service. I was so pleased with the whole experience that I recommended the company to my co-worker, who hired them and had the same level of satisfaction that I experienced.

I called Summit and spoke with Bob Alvarez re: an estimate for the removal of the tree on my rental property. Bob was able to promptly provide me with an estimate within 2-3 days by phone. He provided his professional opinion of the tree's condition and future care of the tree when I asked him about it. I felt he was very knowledgeable when providing me this information. At that time, he also provided me with the additional price to grind the tree stump down. His price was lower than another estimate I had obtained. Bob provided a start date, but did not come out that date. He returned my call later and told me that he had been really busy due to an unusual windy period in Sonoma county . He gave me another date to come out, but again a no show. After leaving a few voicemails asking him to call me, I was finally able to connect with him. Another date was set and the crew showed up, removed the tree and grinded down the stump. According to my tenant, the crew cleaned up nicely after the work and even filled up the hole where the stump was.
