Worst Concrete Provider I've Ever Used! DO NOT USE PERAZA CONCRETE TRANSPORT - BUYER BEWARE! We bought our dream property on acreage and moved to the Inland Empire in August of 2012. Since then we have been doing a myriad of home improvement projects with multiple contractors. The contractor I have been using for concrete has been stellar, and every job has been perfect - until now. What's different? This time we purchased the concrete from Peraza Concrete Transport, a mistake that my contractor and I will never make again. On a Saturday we had a large pour scheduled. Peraza brought us an inferior mix which became obvious only hours after the pour as the plastic shrinkage cracks were already appearing. We tried several times during the pour to contact Tony and Jossie Peraza but they did not take or return our calls, although they already had my check. Finally late that evening they came roaring across my grass lawn unannounced in their shiny macho truck, hopped out and began yelling at me that my contractor must have done a poor job finishing the concrete, it certainly was not their concrete - or their problem! OK folks, my father was a general contractor, and I was a general contractor and I have NEVER seen anyone in the industry as unprofessional as this. Back to my house the Saturday evening after the pour - once Tony and Jossie Peraza (the owners) stopped yelling about how bad my concrete contractor must be I made it clear I was not going to let them off the hook for bringing me a defective product. I asked for for the original plant tickets for each pour that would prove they brought us what we ordered - NOPE! They "did not have them handy". I've still never seen them, although they are legally required to produce them. Once they realized I was not just another trusting customer they could take advantage of (how many have there been?) Tony and Jossie PROMISED they would come out that Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest - with the engineer from the plant to test the concrete and provide a resolution. On Monday they DID cash my $3,300.00 check, but did Tony, Jossie or the engineer show up that week? NOPE! Later that week, after my contractor and I tried numerous times to reach Peraza by phone (with no success) I finally got through to Tony (using a phone number he did not recognize) and asked him why he 1) Cashed my check, and 2) Blew me and my contractor off. He started yelling again, telling me the engineer from the plant was "very busy". That was on a Thursday, but he PROMISED me that the engineer, a man named Brian Oaks, would absolutely bet at our home to take a sample at 8:00am the next morning. We were there, but did Tony, Jossie or Brian Oaks show up? NOPE! It has been a week since then and I have heard NOTHING. At this point I have an absolute disaster of 3,000 square feet of outdoor concrete in my backyard that cost top dollar and was supposed to be a beautiful place that I would spend my mornings and evenings - but it looks like it has been there since 1913, not 2013, thanks to Tony Peraza, Jossie Peraza and Brian Oaks of Peraza Concrete. What do I do about it? I'm taking steps, but the first one was to warn all of you so you don't make the terrible mistake of trusting Peraza with your home or your money.
