They came out and measured everything, then came back with the new glass for the window, and installed it quickly for me.

Templeton Glass, a family, local business does excellent work. They are very responsive to every request. Their bid was quite reasonable, they explained the job clearly and fully, the crew worked well together, they dealt with problems easily and creatively, and the clean up was better than expected. In fact, everything they did was better than I could have hoped. I am a fully satisfied customer and would recommend them without hesitation to others.

I joined Angie's List because I needed to replace some large windows in my house. All the other windows had already been replaced without incident several years ago.
Based on the List I called for three estimates: Los Osos Windows, Specialty Gass (Santa Maria) and Templeton. The first two had only one review but both were stellar. Templeton Glass had four reviews, three very positive and one that was negative. I was impressed with all the representatives. However Templeton had the lowest estimate by far and I made the decision to disregard the negative review. The other bids were approximately $3100. and $3500. Templeton's was $2695. What should be taken in account is that I believe the other bids were based on Milgard windows whereas Templeton carries another brand.
The windows were installed on April 15 and in doing so one was broken and needed to be special ordered. I had to leave before the job was completed but asked that the newly installed windows would be washed. When I came back, I saw that they still required some cleaning and furthermore the windows outside were not caulked, like my other windows were. I called the office with these observations and they agreed to take care of the problem when they delivered the specially ordered replacement. They were also going to rehang the shades. This was scheduled on April 25 but I was forced to cancel and the next available date was May 1. The men came on that date and did what was necessary. They had warned me that it was impossible to caulk the windows without having the paint touched up afterwards and I agreed to arrange for that.

Everyone involved with this business was very pleasant and eager to please and I believe they were doing their best. Kelly, Jim and their helpers were always honest, on time and very courteous.

We were very pleased with how the windows looked and functioned (including the back door). However there were a few things we were not pleased with hence the C rating in professionalism. We felt the price was fair and we greatly enjoyed working with Jim and Z (I believe that was his name). However, the third individual on the crew we were not pleased with. He was not very professional, he seemed uninterested in the work and he complained about our cats. I understand its installing windows not a movie, but I do not pay 4000.00 to have you complain about my cats and not do a good job. And at that my wife overheard the 3rd guy complaining. After the install my wife and I went around and looked at the windows. We noticed that only six were completely caulked, one was done on all three sides and half way on the top, the back door was not done on top and the other two were not done at all on top. I called Jim and he agreed to come look and sent Z out, who said yes it should have been done and the third guy must have either forgotten / or was not sure how to do it.
I want to stress we really enjoyed Jim and Z, but I need to fair and honest here. Would we use them again probably, with that same third crew member NO. The windows look great and work as promised (noise reduction and insulation.) Friends and family often comment how quite our home is. I just do not expect to pay 4000.00 to get non complete work.

A positive review on Angie for a local family business prompted me to call Templeton. Kelly, the office manager was most helpful and gracious, and although we did have a couple of 'hitches' in the initial estimate and order package (dropping a grade from A to B), we felt the price was fair, relative to the others, and we contracted them. Jim and his crew were top notch - friendly, efficient, prompt, highly respectful and considerate throughout the installation process. They were flexible enough to evaluate and respond to 'necessary adjustments' in resolving some minor surprise structural and cosmetic issues - even in bringing them to my attention, when others might have 'glossed over' the circumstance. We'll see how the 'product' endures over time but the experience was highly positive and I would not hesitate to recommend TEMPLETON Glass to friends, neighbors, or anyone in need of services. Good people - good price - good job.

They were wonderful, prompt and professional to come out for the estimate. They had the glass ready to replace within about a week and a half, which was wonderful. There were two of them in the crew and they were here for about three hours; it looks wonderful and I had no problems with them.

They were very personable and they were on time. This company had the best price for what we required. They did a great job. I would hire them again in the future.
