Straight Line Heating and Cooling was founded in 1988 in Los Angeles California. Sydney Goldis, owner of Straight Line, had just finished his 4 year apprenticeship in the sheet metal industry and showed a unique deftness for creating unique structures as well as an above average aptitude for the engineering side of the sheet metal business. He became a fully licensed contractor and proceeded to build and install all kinds of sheet metal projects using every kind of metal. He quickly built a recognized highly sought after business in Los Angeles. Sydney eventually had a family. He felt that Los Angeles was just not the place to raise his kids. As he looked around for a new place to live and continue growing his Straight Line Sheet Metal Business, he visited the Central Coast area and fell in love. He eventually settled in Paso Robles where he now lives. Sydney Goldis brought all his skills and abilities from the world of sheet metal from the big city to the central coast and has been perfecting them since. In 1995, Straight Line Sheet Metal became Straight Line Heating and Cooling along with certified technicians. It was a natural progression from custom sheet metal to heating and air conditioning. Custom sheet metal is used in the installation of ducting work in both commercial and residential construction. The only thing Straight Line added was the appliances. The years of expertise in air flow and air quality required in custom duct work coupled with the installation of heating and cooling appliances make Straight Line a unique entity in the heating and cooling business. We think you'll notice the difference in the quality of the work. Just replacing an air conditioner that was too small to begin with from a building contractor who was trying to save money during construction isn't always the best move.
