Aaron Peel Construction

Description of Work: The first project we hired Aaron for (July 2013) was to do an extensive repair in our bathroom, caused by a leak in our shower floor and leak in the pipe behind the shower wall. These water leaks damaged the bathroom floor and floor joists under the house. We discovered it when the bathroom floor started to feel "squishy". Our home is on a raised foundation, and the project required reinforcing the existing floor joists with new added along side including 2 new posts with pre-cast concrete piers; new shower valve trim kit and new "pex" plastic water line to replace the busted galvanized pipe; new drywall; a new shower enclosure and door; a new sub-floor and linoleum and oak; a new fan properly vented; new lighting; and a new door to the bathroom. In addition we had Aaron take care of multiple areas of wood damage from dry rot around our home. The second project, (August 2013) was having Aaron replace our front door which was 50 years old and warped (including painting the door and putting on a door sweep); install a steel door and new lock set from our garage to our side yard and insulate around it; and replace 2 huge (8'x4' and 8'x3') windows with Milgard "retrofit" style windows at the front of the house. We also had Aaron put new locks in our fire door, sand and repaint it, and put a new sweep at the bottom. A very nice touch was putting down wide contractors paper in the work areas and path leading to the outside of our home. It helped keep the dirt off the floors. At the completion of each day the work space was cleaned up nicely, and at the end of both jobs all debris created due to the job(s) had been cleaned up and disposed of.
