True Valu Hardware, 409 N Fair Oaks Ave

It was a great experience. I've been going to this True Value store instead of the big stores because I always get immediate, friendly attention. The store may be small, but it has everything and many things the larger stores don't have. The staff is very professional but that professionalism is combined with an ambiance of the hardware stores from the "old days" when everyone knew you name and you'd get all kinds of help. I went in to have 2 window screens made. I had called ahead so I already knew the price which was below other place I called. I gave them one of my screens for measurements. They told me the screens would be ready in 2 days, but I got a call later that afternoon that the screens were ready. I picked them up and the fit perfectly. It was a delightful experience.
