My guess is that any halfway competent mortgage professional can process a simple case like mine (refi, plenty of equity, good credit) but Roland at Sierra Capital has several great qualities.  Firstly, he was very responsive.  Email was returned quickly, with to-the-point information.  My ?phone calls were dealt with with patience and sensible, useful answers.  Secondly, he was on the ball, keeping track of my paperwork.  Nothing was dropped or left to sit longer than necessary.
Thirdly, he is knowledgeable.  He found me several good rates and options among his lender contacts and when I was having trouble choosing walked me through the options and described a good solution that I had not considered.  What are we up to now - fourthly?  Fourthly, he has some like-minded associates working on appraisals and escrow that were also a pleasure to work with.
As I wrote at the start, almost any professional could deal with my simple case but Roland Wilcox was a pleasure to work with and I?m sure he would?ve been there with advice and information if the going had gotten tough.  Right now I hope I never have to apply for another mortgage, but if I do I will return to Sierra Capital.
