Jason and his crew were prompt professional and courteous. They all went above and beyond to make sure the job turned out right and to our satisfaction. When we asked for additional items it was all estimated and added to our original estimate and itemized accordingly so we knew exactly what we were paying for. The skill level required to repair and showcase the finer points on our historic old home (built in the 30s) was all done with care and we were amazed at the results. They themselves did the work including some custom work after two wall unit air-conditioners were removed was amazing. It looks like they weren't ever there. They fabricated new wooden parts on site for two custom areas where there was an impressive amount of wood detail that had rotted completely through and made it look like new. Jason and his crew have been working on these historic homes in the area for more than 20 years and you could see all of that skill in everything they did. They even helped me with an issue I had with an outdoor hot tub area. The guys always arrived on time and were professional at all times. Much of the time I had to leave the house open for them when I had to go out and they were VERY trustworthy, respectful, and always secured everything before they left the site. It is so hard sometimes to be able to trust strangers in your home but they put me at ease. Each day they cleaned up the site and removed trash and ladders and other materials from the day. I was very impressed and will definitely use them again and on some remodeling we have planned for the interior as well. His crew can paint, remodel, and do everything and when they can't they had GREAT local contacts to do things like custom glass work which we also had done. Anytime I saw something both during or after the job was done that needed attention, they took care of it and made sure I was happy. All in all, it was a great experience and it's so hard to find good people even on Angie's list that you actually like and would recommend to friends and family and I would do so with them. They were not the most expensive or the cheapest folks we got estimates from but were somewhere in the middle and even after adjusting for all the add ons that we did during the work...they were STILL less than the most expensive estimates. I feel that this represented the best VALUE. Some contractors will purposely bid low to get the job and then through the add ons that always come up make up the difference. That wasn't my experience with Robie Construction at all. I know you won't be disappointed with them and Jason is a licensed General Contractor so can take care of most needs but like I said he would also bring in his colleagues to at least look at something to see if more expertise was needed. There is nothing worse than someone saying "Oh yeah...I can do that" and then getting in over their head and making bigger problem. We didn't experience any of that with Jason. I can't say enough good things and if you are local and would like to talk or come by and see his work...just let him know and that can be arranged.
