Merry Maids of Pasadena

This company is very unprofessional. I was not happy with their service and complained so they overcharged me. I called to try and resolve it but they keep saying the manager will call back but he never does. This has happened several times.

Two very nice ladies came to my home and started work right away. I barely finished showing them around and they already had a game plan and went to work with no questions. When the work was done, I was very pleased and satisified with the quality of their work. Thank you Merry Maids for being so professional!!

They did a good job and did everything I asked them to. The workers had a great attitude and were very friendly. I only had one issue with them. I emphasized how fragile some of my shelves were and one of the workers seemed to be pretty rough. Other than that, they did a great job.

They have been pretty good. There were some of my knickknacks that got dropped. They charge me $77 when I get it every 2 weeks and a little lesser if I get it every week. They are really nice. Some crews are better in English than others. In fact, one of the employees used to take my stored magazines to learn English from. They are responsive. I call them every once in a while. They have generally done well, but occasionally there could be a fault. I have asked them not to come before a certain time. I prefer not to be home when they are here.

We asked for a deep cleaning service as my late father's house had not been thoroughly cleaned in quite some time. We told them in advance that the house had lots of dust and dog fur and dander tucked away in nooks and crannies and about a grease stain on a kitchen wall. Two ladies showed up and did light vacuuming and mopping and wiped down surfaces in plain sight all while moving very slowly for about five hours (when they weren't chatting on their cell phones). They left behind visible dirt, dust, fur and even mud on some of the floors - not to mention the grease stain that did not yield to their damp rags. (Green solvent anyone?) When they left, the house did not look clean or smell clean. Because their service is "guaranteed" I called Merry Maids and told them what happened. They sent up the same two ladies the next morning, promising they would fix up the job for no additional charge. But they didn't want to work, they just wanted to complain and argue and talk about everything that Merry Maids does NOT do. They will not move furniture to clean behind and underneath, not even an inch or two! They do not use any kind of cleaning solvent (green or otherwise) to remove grease or other stains, just lightly-soaped water. Apparently they do not use different kinds of sponges for different kinds of tasks (anything that requires a mild abrasive sponge to clean will NOT get clean). Their "guarantee" isn't worth anything since their workers refused to do any remedial work to clean up what they'd missed! Their dispatcher promised to send a "deep cleaning" crew. We got two ladies with damp rags and a lazy attitude. Boooooo!

I thought they did well. I would use them again.

I finally cancelled my bi-weekly service. Not enough cleaning for the money. And not always on time.If the customer before me wanted extra things done, I was made to wait. I couldn't make plans on the days they were scheduled because I never knew how late they would be.

They were adequate. The pricing was competitive.

Company called to confirm appt, two women arrived on time to clean. They worked non stop for four hours. Both were kind and friendly. At one point a representative from the company came by to check and see if their work was up to standard (the white glove test, I believe they call it). I couldn't have asked for more. They also did an extremely professional follow up to see if I was satisfied.

I have used Merry Maids for years. The office staff is highly professional and very pleasant to deal with. The cleaning staff changes a lot over time but always does a decent job. Sometimes details get neglected (things like ceiling cobwebs) but the main duties are always done. They are reliable for showing up on the date expected, and usually quite close to the exact time promised. The cleaners are pleasant and honest --- nothing has ever been missing from my home in all the years I've used them. And in the occasional incident of accidental breakage (it happens to all of us over the years), the company has been great about promptly fixing whatever the problem was. I like using a reliable service like this one and plan to continue using Merry Maids indefinitely. I'm sure I pay more for this service than for an individual maid, but I am freed from the burden of calculating payroll taxes and other such paperwork.

I found that trying to set the actual appointment up was difficult. I contacted them and spoke to someone initially who said he wanted me to call back to speak to someone else. I made a tentative appointment with him telling him what I wanted because the date was important. I didn't hear anything back and I couldn't get through again. It was a messy back and forth before the appointment was confirmed. Once it was confirmed it was very smooth. They were on time and they did a good job. They were very pleasant and thorough. I feel their price is competitive. They charge $90 an hour. I would use them again.

Very professional. They called and informed me what time they would come the day before. They sent a team of two to do the whole house (3 bedroom/2 bathroom) in a couple of hours.

The two ladies that came to my house were really great. They asked me what I needed done and how much time I could afford. They came in right on time and did a beautiful job!

I'D USE THEM AGAIN. THEY CAME IN AND MADE THE HOUSE LOOK NICE, AND THEY WERE TIMELY AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY HAD UNIFORMS ON, AND THEY WENT RIGHT TO WORK. THEY HAD THE EQUIPMENT THEY NEEDED. THEY WERE REALLY HELPFUL.

THEY PROVIDE GOOD QUALITY WORK FROM CLEANING TO SANITIZING THE HOME WITH AROMAS AND PROVIDING A CLEAN HOME FOR ALL TO SEE AND SMELL. THEY ARE ON TIME AND GET THE JOB DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER.

THE WOMEN WHO CAME TO CLEAN THE HOUSE WERE FINE. I PAID WITH A CREDIT CARD OVER THE PHONE AND THOUGHT I WOULD GET A RECEIPT IN THE MAIL BUT I DIDN'T. WHEN MY CREDIT CARD BILL CAME, I SAW THAT MORE WAS CHARGED THAN I THOUGHT WAS GOING TO BE. I TALKED WITH THEM BUT WASN'T HAPPY WITH THE RESPONSE.

THEY SCRUBBED THE BATHROOMS, VACUUMED, AND SHAMPOO. THE PEOPLE WERE VERY NICE, PROFESSIONAL AND THOROUGH. THE QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS PERFECT. DEALING WITH THE COMPANY WAS VERY NICE, VERY PLEASING, AND PROFESSIONAL.

THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE. IF I ASKED THEM TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENTLY OR DO SOMETHING IN ADDITION, THEY WOULD LISTEN AND IMMEDIATELY DO WHAT I ASKED THEM TO DO.

THEY ONLY ACCOMPLISHED HALF THE WORK THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO. THE SERVICE WAS OVER PRICED FOR THE WORK THAT WAS COMPLETED. THE CLEANERS DID NOT DO A GOOD JOB WITH THE DETAILS AND THEY WERE POORLY ORGANIZED.
