Well, it turned out other DVD's would play so nothing was wrong with the wiring.  The DVD that wouldn't play in the Living Room player would play on the Bedroom DVD player.   He offered to return because I had an issue with the switcher in the bedroom.  However, he never returned, never answered my calls and even when Angie's List contacted him and said he would call me - he never did.  Hey, whatever.  Would I use him again - clearly he was knowledgeable- but lacked communication skills - so probably not.

It was very good. They were fast and punctual. They cleaned up after themselves. I didn't have to do any vacuuming or anything after the TV was mounted. It seemed like a reasonable price for what was provided. They showed up on time. They seem to know what they were doing and they dealt with me courteously.

We loved the results and are going to call him for additional installs.

great! it was time-consuming to sort and reconnect everything up, but Sharif did a good job, and afterward took the time to go over the changes to the use of my remotes and the various options I now had with the bose being connected to my tv. An efficient and patient guy, he answered all my questions. well worth the $69 Angie's deal.

Prior to the date of our job, They spent time on the phone with me, recommending certain devices I was interested in and also helped us arrange to coincide their arrival with the cable installer.They arrived exactly on time, did their job to perfection, spread drop cloths wherever they worked to protect the floors, and not only does everything work perfectly and look beautiful, even one headphone set that never worked properly before, now also works perfectly. And in addition to doing absolutely perfect work, and strictly adhering to the agreed price, The owner and his assistant were an absolute pleasure to spend a few hours with. The beautiful photos on their website are a totally accurate depiction of the quality of their work. If you need work of this kind, do yourself a favor....hire them. 

The service center took longer than expected to get the necessary parts.  Mr. Jackson felt that since he quoted me ten days and the repair took eighteen days he was not entitled to any more money.  When I hired Mr. Jackson, I did so through a $69.00 big deal from Angie's List.    
He is a gentleman who knows his business.  I would definitely use him again.

He explained and showed us where the original cable had been bent and eventually failed. Nice guy too.

The experience was terrific. The work was completed efficiently and professionally. Sharif is very knowledgeable and also very clever at finding solutions. I liked that he explained the work and was confident I knew how to operate the components before he left. He helped clean up some of the wiring mess left by other AV contractors and made it possible to move my TV receiver to a closet out of sight. His crew was polite and cleaned up very nicely after their work. I would definitely recommend Media Wiring Solutions, and will use them again for projects in the future.

They were great. They were wonderful. It was really nice. The price was very reasonable for the work that they did. They were very thorough. They were good but not over the top.

The proprietor Sharif Jackson is extremely knowledgeable and proffessional.  From the time whe had our initial consultation I knew he was the right person for the job.  I had a previous conversation with a contrator regarding thsi and he did not want to touch it at all.  This was a very detailed and labor intensive project that took all day....a very long day I should say. His team of workers were also very proffessional and respectful of my home. They were very clean and left the affected rooms cleaner than before the work.  The end result was exactly what we discussed and what I was looking for.  I am absolutely thrilled with the results and would recommend him to anyone who is looking for home theater work. 

I wanted to upgrade my 20 year old home audio system , which included hard wired ceiling speakers in and outside my home. I had already bought a digital receiver when I scheduled a consultation via website on a Sat. Evening. I got a call back within minutes and arranged for a consultation the following Monday.  Sharif, the owner, arrived on time, and we discussed my "wish list."  I explained that while I'm not an audiophile, I wanted to: 
Enhance sound of my flat screen TV, play music in selective interior and exterior areas, connect to my iTunes library, play Pandora and other Internet based sources, all for a reasonable price. He asked many great questions, and gave me recommendations which included setting up distinct listening zones to allow for simultaneous audio support--for example, one can watch a football game bit listen to music outside.  He also noted recommended two different receivers at different price points, and I did end up making the swap for the less expensive one.  Conclusion: the job was completed in 4 hours with a  2 man crew which Sharif supervised--they were clean and organized.   Sharif personally set up the iPad app to remotely control the receiver to accomplish all that I wanted to do.  Will absolutely work with Sharif when ready to expand/upgrade speakers.

The system setup by Sharif was extremely well done.  There were some issues with the hardware, which Sharif researched, and helped resolve.  Once the hardware was working, Sharif was able to complete the installation.  His work was very neatly done, with all wires hidden.  He also proposed alternative solutions to improve the overall experience while respecting budget limitations. 

Sharif knows the technologies very well, as well as information sources to find solutions when problems arise.

I would have no hesitation recommending Sharif or using his services again.

We had an integrated media system in our last house.  When we moved we wanted the same system.  The Media Wiring Solutions (MWS) owner, Sharif Jackson, after understanding our usage patterns, talked us out of copying our old system and suggested installing the Sonos system.  WOW!!  What a good call.  We did not know that we could have the flexibility that Sonos provides.  It is incredibly easy to use - as a result, we use many more features of the system.  It was also less expensive than our requested solution.  The MWS team was quick, efficient and clean during the installation process.  Installing speakers in the wall could have been messy, but they were very good at isolating the drilling or cutting activities and limiting the dust to a very small area - I mean a box or a small space enclosed with plastic.  The clean-up necessary afterwards was minimal.  Along the way, we made some modifications, and they were very flexible in getting exactly the system that we wanted - it was more important to them to get it right for us, than to follow the original plan.  We really liked that.  The price came in just as we expected.  Since then, they have helped us add a couple other components that they originally suggested that we initially opted not to get.  We should have listened the first time.  After testing, we learned that one of the speakers did not work well.  They came right out and replaced it.  No questions asked. We did not realize that the system would work as well as it does.  Our two-year old runs through the house singing the ABC song, the counting song, or any number of toddler songs.  It is great.
