 + -1 morePoorly. I had used JM several times with varying degrees of problems but on this day they chose to deliver an expensive arrangement that was well past its prime. When I called to complain, the staff and management could have cared less about what they delivered and attempted to waive it off as a casualty of the popularity of their company.
Description of Work: Ordered flowers for delivery over the phone for my wife for her birthday, which coincided with the birth of our first child.

 + -1 moreIt was a very easy transaction. I visited their website to get an idea of what I wanted and called ahead to place the order. The woman I spoke to was helpful with suggestions of what was fresh and new to include and had it ready when I stopped by to pick it up.
Description of Work: I have used them in the past and loved their work. Honestly, I cannot imagine a florist's work that is more beautiful. Their work is unique and elegant and European. They deliver, but I do not usually have their flowers delivered because I like to deliver them to friends myself to see the look of amazement on their faces when I hand them their gift. This time I purchased a beautiful hand-tied arrangement in a vase for a friend who had just gotten engaged. You can buy cheaper flowers, of course, but I don't think you can get more for your money anywhere else when you consider the artistry that goes into these arrangements - many of the flowers are even homegrown by the owner!

 + -1 moreAfter seeing a positive report and lovely website for this florist, I was excited to look into their doing the flowers for our wedding. I was told to come in anytime and to discuss the situation in person. I did go in, sat down with their representative, showed her pictures, and discussed our ideas. She said she would get back to me with a quote. She never did. When I called and left a message for her, the call was not returned.
Description of Work: Jacob Maarse was not hired to do the flowers for our wedding.
