INDY MAC BANK

For the term of the loan, the service was acceptable. The problem occurred when I closed out the loan. IndyMac Bank owed me over $3700 from my escrow account. They were supposed to send the check out to my new address within one month of the closing. It never showed up. After numerous phone calls (all initiated by me) and after having to jump through a series of hoops, I learned that IndyMac Bank sent the check to the wrong address and the person at that address actually cashed the check. I have had to complete and notarize a forgery report. This morning - over two months from my closing, I was informed that I will have to wait up to 90 days for the bank to conduct a forgery investigation. No guarantee of an outcome either. I find this utterly unacceptable, as I was in no way responsible for this incident. The only thing I will say to their credit is that the reps are polite and they are managing to keep track of the case as it progresses. Not much consolation though.
