He double-checked to make sure all our concerns were addressed. Even after our system was installed he was available to answer any questions that we still had. Going Green was not an easy decision but Michael was able to put us at ease and we knew we were going to have the best system installed on our roof. Excellent service!

I am very impressed by the work done by Sunpower. During the installation phase, they communicated with me frequently, explained every step clearly and helped with every detail paperwork. They show great professionalism throughout the process. After the solar installation, the transition seems super seamless. Moreover, the Sunpower app is extremely intuitive to keep a track of the solar production; and it has a great visualization of the statistics as well. Overall, I am very pleased with the result. We began the process with SunPower when a representative knocked on the door and asked if we were interested in exploring solar power. After this we were put in touch with Arvin, who guided us through the entire process and was thorough, transparent, helpful, and responsive. First, Arvin met with us in our home for over an hour exploring all the details of various options including PPA (power purchase agreements) and financing. After we expressed initial interest during this meeting, SunPower sent a site inspector to our home to analyze our readiness for a solar panel installation. After this, we stayed in touch with Arvin while exploring the details of our home’s solar power system. Initially, we were hesitant about the idea of a PPA since we wouldn’t own the panels that were on our roof. Once Arvin explained the details of how the PPA works, including provisions for if we do construction on our roof or move to a new home, we became much more comfortable. We ended up choosing to go with a PPA because we liked the idea of paying only for the power being produced, rather than for the equipment itself. The proposed system of solar panels was projected to cover 90% of our home’s monthly energy needs.

I became interested in solar for my house as I saw more and more homes in my neighborhood install the futuristic panels to harness the energy of the sun. At just the right time, Michael Sgambati showed up at my doorstep, and walked me through the process of getting set up with solar and I am very pleased with the result. My solar panel system has been generating solar energy for the past month and it's so cool to watch my bill go down! The planning and install stages were very easy for me as the homeowner. Michael and Paige my project manager were very thorough and answered every question I had in a very timely fashion. DEFINITELY WORTH DOING!! My family decided to install the Solar panels after much hesitation and research. Initially, I was skeptical that the numbers the salesman (Arvin) outlined were actually true, in addition to the project being installed on my roof was safe. I was concerned the install would create leaks and other roofing issues. Allow me to tell you: the numbers ARE true and the solar install went as smoothly as he promised. They installed 21 panels in a half day, cleaned up meticulously, and I have had zero issues with leaks or any other roofing problems since. My electricity bill was averaging $250 per month. Since install, around 5 months ago, I'm now paying $6 to the electric company, plus the SunPower fee. These are huge savings so far, during the summer when the A/C is running all day! I wish to thank Arvin and the entire SunPower team for being the ultimate professionals, making promises and keeping them, and providing me with updates all throughout the permit, install, and setup process. To other folks considering SunPower, I would (and have) recommend(ed) this service and Arvin, as they really came through.

I met the Hyperion team during the a door-knocking promotion they were doing a few months ago. Some people don’t like salesman knocking on their door but man I was so glad they knocked on mine! I was thinking about solar for a while but didn’t have time to look into it in detail. After the initial encounter, I was able to quickly schedule a meeting with Arvin to get informed on my options, the costs and the process to get federal and state rebates. After making my decision to install, I was guided through the process by Arvin and a SunPower rep step by step. They finished the project on time and got my system running in no time. I was very happy with their professionalism and dedicated customer support. Highly recommend!

I used Hyperion (shout out to Michael Sgambati!) back in 2021 to install solar panels on my roof. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience. They showed up when they said they would, the price was precisely what Michael said it would be, and the system works as advertised! They also send you all the information to apply for the NJ Incentive program (State Rebate) with pics so that it's easy to follow and set up. My parents did it too! (But their NJ Incentive application took some time to process on the Solar company side, so be sure to follow up with your coordinator early and often to ensure a seamless experience). Good initial contact with Arvin Kumar who was able to answer all our questions about the program, cost, incentives, installation and timeline. The process takes time but since SunPower customer service is very good; a lot of documents were processed by them on our behalf and when we had to do something, we had detailed guidelines to follow hence the entire experience were not overwhelming. SunPower also provided a very attractive financing. Now, we are solar energy producers for about a year and we are selling it to the grid. The system works better then estimated. It makes sense financially and, at the same time, we do our part to help the environment. Personal thank you to Arvin who stayed in touch throughout the entire process to make sure we were comfortable every step of the way. GO SOLAR!

I can’t believe how easy getting solar was with Hyperion and Sunpower. The explanations were clear and compelling, the process to install was seamless, and the service was White Glove throughout. Our point of contact, Arvin, was fantastic - very knowledgeable, responsive, and always a true professional. Really appreciate his support and the whole team’s efforts throughout the journey.

A year ago we sat down with Arvin Kumar the energy consultant from sunpower to discuss the process of adding roof solar panels to our home in New Jersey. Arvin explained the costs associated and the net generation of power the system will produce. Once doing a cost analysis be believed it was beneficial in the long run to add the solar power system to our house. With the added federal tax credit and local state production credit , we believed the system will pay for itself over time. So far six months of system going live, we have only paid $4 connection fee to pseg for electricity. Our electricity usage from Grid/pseg is zero. We also applied for state certification credits to be reimbursed for excess production we send back to the system. Over all the installation of the System was fast, the delays were all local permits. Overall we got our system approved and online within a year. We have about 13 panels, within six months we have produced about 4065 kWh already. Overall 5 stars for customer service and professionalism from the Sunpower Team.

Having Sunpower install our Solar panels has been a great experience. Arvin helped explain the system, process the paperwork, and made sure the installation and inspections were all done on time. Sunpower system has saved us alot in electrical costs. We are so happy with how this has turned out. Our system is actually performing 25% more efficiently than expected!! First and foremost I am a solar enthusiast. I’ve considered solar before I purchased my home. So much so that when home shopping, I checked the sunscore of the perspective houses as one of the considerations to purchase. I have researched solar companies, panel manufacturers, inverter manufacturers, compared specifications and warranties, went though multiple forums including and online resources to dig up as much information on not only the companies but generally how solar works and what to expect. Second, my options are only for SunPower by Hyperion and SunPower as a company. This review is not a reference to other SunPower installers. Third, SunPower by Hyperion did ask me to review and they will give me referral point. I would had done it with or without. I’ve received 7 quotes in the past 10 months shopping for solar. All varying prices and 2 were for lease agreements (I didn’t even know one of them was a lease until I keep digging.) I looked at independent, small companies, large ones, and popular ones. I was actually avoiding SunPower since I read they were expensive and primarily offer lease agreements. Additionally I read some SunPower representatives were pushy trying to make a sale. When I met the SunPower sales person I’ve had already picked my solar installer but figured why not just hear what they have to say. This is when I met Arvin Kumar from SunPower by Hyperion. Con -*** expensive -For all advertisement SunPower does about invisible mounting with their invisimount…. I see my mounts clearly. Pro -Hyperion is a SunPower factory direct master dealer. SunPower will be the installer -SunPower panels are consistently rated amount the top performers -SunPower has a great warrantee on equipment and degradation warrantee -Panels are high efficient and high capacity, allowing me a chance to upgrade in the future if needed. -Hyperion did everything did not have to lift a finger -Hoping Hyperion can serve as an escalation point if I ever have any issues with performance/equipment if SunPower does not handle my issues in a timely manner or dismissing my issues. -Cost is expensive but when reviewing vendors that provide cheaper quotes some take your state incentives (if your state has), some provide older equipment, or having a smaller team/company that install in your roof. -Financing at .99 compared with other vendors I received quotes from 1.99-2.99 makes the overall price of the lower quotes 2-5k more over the lifetime of the loan.

Went with Sunpower after considering a few companies to install solar panels for our home. From the sales meeting (Michael is great!), through the installations process, and post-install the customer service was top-notch. Team was always available for any questions, and worked hard to resolve any issues encountered. The sun power app used to monitor solar production is also pretty good!

Arvin and his team were fantastic. They walked me through the entire process from beginning to end and made sure I understand everything each step of the way. From the initial consultation to a clear description of the cost involved and the particulars of installing a solar array on my specific property, to the actual install taking place on time and without any complications, to making sure that I had a clear understanding of the metering process and the rebate system offered by the state and federal tax credits, it was a completely painless experience. I would definitely recommend these guys, and Arvin in particular, if you're looking for residential solar in New Jersey.

I would recommend against Hyperion and SunPower. There were multiple delays in the project. Some were due to COVID (permit delays and supply issues). However, there was poor communication throughout. At this point, I am awaiting a $1,000 refund that should have been credited at the end of my project. It's been three months and seven emails later. The salesperson was Mark Barrett. I'll be happy to adjust my review once this issue is corrected.

One of the owners of Hyperion reached out to me to make things right and I'm happy to report that they've fulfilled their end of the bargain, and all is well.
