I called yesterday, they got back to me the same day. They came out the next day on time.
They assessed the situation and got to work, and even showed me how to properly care for some plants that are dying.
They seem to care about the work they do.

i hired Fernando after my gardener of 25 years retired.  He was more expensive but so much better than my former gardener.First he made suggestions about how he could improve the looks of my property and then he set about doing it.  He used every minute of his time with me to complete his task and even after the first visit my property looked vastly more attractive. Each week he takes on a new project be it trimming the lavender or the ivy, cleaning up the rose garden or trimming the overgrowth on the driveway. He does all of these things with grace and a desire to please me.  I am happy I hired him.

I  was fortunate to catch Fernando and his crew and receive same day service. The weeding took a couple of hours! They did a fantastic job.  I have hired him to come back twice a month to keep everything cleaned up - at a very reasonable price! Im so grateful, thank you Fernando!

Kind of a strange experience for me.  I called Fernando to inquire about yard cleanup and he pleasantly stopped by three or so hours later to talk about the job.  We agreed on an hourly rate of $50/ hr for a crew of three.  Sounded great to me.  He mentioned as an aside that the work we were talking about would total $700 ($500 labor at the quoted rate plus a $200 fee to dump the debris at the local landfill).  The next morning he showed up on time with two other men and started the work.  I was luckily home that day to watch the work being done since at the end of the day Fernando said the work was complete and that he'd like the $700.  Luckily I say since little more than half of the $500 worth of labor hours were actually performed.  He personally was only at my property for a couple of hours, and the other two men (who were pleasant people) worked for a total of around 15 hours between them (adding up to no more than $285)   When I mentioned this, he said that the landfill fee was actually $300 and that I'd misheard the originally amount quoted.  We settled on $500.  (the landfill, by the way charges around $50 for a pickup truck's load worth of plant debris and they generated signficantly less than that).

Gadea provides the service on a weekly schedule.  There is a small language problem in that I don't speak spanish but it has not stopped us from getting the job done.

Responsive but doesn't come on a regular time. Sometimes early, sometimes late. Sometimes different days.
Work that I request is done. Wish he was a bit more communicative. Works hard though. Happy with the work.

Fernando has provided all the services I requested,and continues to work at my house. His work is neat and very efficient. I plan to use Fernando as my gardener going forward.

He was very good. I did have problems with his follow up. Generally the initial work that he did for me was excellent. The price was excellent but problem is that followup work that he was going to do, he didn't turn up. He was supposed to do tree trimming.

I asked him to come the following day since it was Sunday. He showed up promptly on Monday, and did a great job. And our party was a success.

We were very pleased with their services. Fernando Gadea and his sons came punctually at 0700 Sunday morning and started to work. The were efficient and friendly. The removed all the cleared vegetations so our place looked great afterwards. And just received a letter from LAFD stating that we passed their and quot;fire abatementand quot; inspection. Thank you Gadea Gardening Services.

Called Fernando and made an appointment to come out to quote a complete yard cleanup. He arrived on time and we walked around so I could point out everything that needed to be done. We agreed on a $300 price and set a day and time. I also arranged for him to come every two weeks tat $35 per visit o maintain the yard.
He and several others showed up as promised and did a very nice job with the exception of not cutting the low tree branches and cutting back the branches from the roof. These are all small branches. The crew had left one person for the little remaining cleanup. When I asked about the tree I was told it would be done when he made the next trip. I said fine but I don't want an extra charge. Fernando decided to come back and finish the job that same day and I paid him as agreed. The yard looked great.
Supposedly he has returned 3 times to maintain the yard. I say supposedly because beyond some branches going into the green bin and some leaf blowing I cannot see what has been done. The front bushes look horrible because they haven't been touched since the initial cleanup and the front hedge needs work.
I understand that he can only do a certain amount of work on any given visit but why is the front looking so bad?
His first bill overcharged for the first two maintenance visits plus he charged for the tree trim for which he had already been paid. He has since agreed to remove that charge. I sent a letter with my short paying check explaining why it was short to the address listed on Angie's List but it came back as insufficient. He is unable to provide another address for me to send the check so he will come by to pick-up it up and I will show him the yard and ask why does it look like this after 3 maintenance visits. I will then say he services (or lack there of) are no longer required unless he can assure me the job will be done right each visit.
I don't need to pay someone to come over only to blow leaves. I'm extremely disappointed because he is a nice man who seemed to want to provide decent service. I guess one can't rely on good reviews even on Angie's List.

Responsive, punctual and honest.

I can highly recommend Fernando Gadea's gardening service. He was very punctual and responsive to my initial call, offered a monthly price below what I was expecting, and he has been extremely consistent with his service since he started a month ago. One day I had a problem with the sprinklers and he was there within 20 minutes of my call to look at them and fix them. Couldn't ask for friendlier more professional service.

Fernando is great!. My elderly father needed someone to take care of their rather large yard. I called Fernando and set up an appointment for the next day. He was there right on time, and gave us a very fair quote for weekly service. We agreed and he started the next week. The yard looks great, and I've noticed Fernando doing little extras too, like watering. He is very nice and my father is very happy with the quality of yard service.

I found Fernando through Angie's list and called him to give an estimate on my yard which needed a lot of cleanup work. He gave me a fair estimate and did such a great job that I have hired him to come regularly.

Fernando Gadea dropped a card on my front porch. I called in the morning and left a message - my call was returned less than an hour later. He's a local Pasadena gardener that gets help from his son on the weekends.
Honest, pleasant, and does an excellent job. He's an old-fashioned gardener that does it all - grass, plants, trees, weeding, sprinklers - and his price is very reasonable. My yard looks great.
