I AM A SMALL BUSINESS, DOING MOSTLY RESIDENTIAL. I'VE BEEN PAINTING SINCE 1972. I DO ONLY ONE JOB AT A TIME. I STILL USE OIL-BASED ENAMEL ON INTERIOR WOODWORK, KITCHENS, AND BATHS. EXTERIOR, I STIL USE OLD STYLE, SLOW DRY OIL BASED PRIMER FOR RAW, NEW OR DISTRESSED WOOD. MY REPUTATION MEANS EVERYTHING AND I STAND BEHIND MY WORK AND CRAFTMANSHIP

Walked around the house and showed them what needed to be done.  They gave a quote for the job. I am goint to get a few more estimates before getting the job done.

Mr. Mazur was very prompt responding to my inquiry for an estimate. His crew was there on time and cleaned up after themselves. My only issue was the request for 50% payment at start of the project. We did settle for about 10%. California law states that contractors can only request the lesser of 10% or $1000 up front.
