Everything went great. I went in and explained my problem and they solved it. They have very high quality products, so it is not cheap, and you do have to sort of know what you are looking for since most products are on display by number on a board but you have to ask for them to be pulled from stock. But don't let that intimidate you, the people who work there are very helpful.
Description of Work: I have gone to this store a number of times for hard-to-find hardware as I work to restore my 1920's era home. They have original hardware and reproductions. This time they helped me to find a burnished bronze deadbolt lock for my front door. The original lock was broken and an inept locksmith who tried to repair it only managed to crack the door so I was left with a broken front door that would not lock! The guys at Crown City helped me to find a lock that would look good and be strong enough to secure the door, and they also advised me on wood glue products to repair the crack. We were able to leave the original hardware on the door for appearance's sake but secure the door with the new deadbolt, which blends right in with the look of the door.
