CHOICE PEST CONTROL CO

Back in January of 2009 I called Choice Pest Control (out of Sierra M****) and talked to Art Megdaleno. My husband had put rat poison in the crawl space hoping that would fix the problem, well it just caused more problems as one of the rats died somewhere where it couldn't be found and the smell was BEYOND wretched. Art spent about 45 minutes looking in the attic, checking the exterior of the house, talking with me about what we had done right, and what we'd done wrong. He was able to identify the "entry point." He told me they charge a flat rate to set rat traps and to check them twice a week for six weeks. He also quoted a figure to mend/fix the entry point, but he actually told me exactly how to do it ourselves, knowing I'd probably want my husband to do it the same day, (which he did). Because it was raining, he agreed to return again and finish looking over the house up on the roof (he saw some possible areas on the roof line where he wanted to get a better look). It was good to have expert eyes looking the house over for these subtle breaches. He came back as agreed and re-toured the house and showed everything to my husband. I think it's safe to say everybody hates dealing with this yucky situation, but it is good to work with professional, friendly, thorough contractors. I liked that they take the time needed to talk with you, educate you and who show up when they say they will! You don't find many of those.
