CHANDLER CABINETS

It went very well.  David did exactly what I asked, and it was done according to schedule.  The outcome was beautiful!  I found him responsive to my requests.  The unit was built in his shop and then installed.  All in a timely fashion.

A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. We were promised that the down time would be a few days as everything is made and ready to install before demolition-it took over 8 months for him to complete his part of the job. Dave knows his stuff and was impressive at our initial meeting; however after we signed the contract it became a different story. Problems with incorrect materials being used behind our backs, he cut any corner he could to save money even if it violated our contract resulting in poor workmanship/ quality of product. Installation of NOT to CODE plumbing lines, we endured several extra out of pocket costs due to his mistakes, he wasted IMMENSE periods of our time by showing up hours late or consistently failing to show up at all. He kept telling us sob stories of his financial problems and would ask for more and more money-even before the job was completed. 23 out of 26 drawer boxes are too short-not standard depth leaving me with less storage space-it will cost us $2000.00 to fix. He had to re-order three of our drawer fronts 7, yes 7 times before they came in correctly. Our cabinetry is white, many were painted inconsistently, so once installed sitting next to each other, you could see they did not match-then he argued with us that they did match. He also failed to paint our cabinets in a clean environment or separate painting room. They were painted in the shop right next to the workers and the sawdust resulting in sawdust stuck to the paint. We had to have them retouch the paint several times in our kitchen with our new appliances and floors-and yes, we did have overspray on both. We had problems with cabinetry not being made to our specifications. We found out that Dave had made an entire wall prior to our approval!! Half the wall had to be remade. I was shocked to see it arrive the next morning, fast yes, but similar quality, no. Uneven leveling, uneven spacing, the cabinetry on either side of our kitchen window was inches off. We lost our free refrigerator installation due to his mistakes. To sum it all up, Dave seemed like such a nice honest business man, but we feel he over promises and under delivers. We feel that the money was not worth the product, the hassle, the time or the stress. Trying to get anything done right became such a hassle that we just wanted him out of our lives. This job was a complete nightmare-I know contractors can be difficult, but Chandler Cabinets takes the cake!
