carpet installation, flooring contractor
 + 0 moreTony was very patient working with us to carefully select the right flooring products. He came out to the house (less than a mile from the store) several times when we needed him to discuss matters. He gave us some good ideas how to handle some minor difficulties, mainly regarding the floor molding. We would definitely consider using his store again if we had additional flooring needs and we'd recommend him to others. HOWEVER, there were a couple of unfortunate problems that detracted from our experience. The biggest was that he FORGOT our original scheduled installation date which resulted in the install being completed a week later than our schedule and resulted in other projects being delayed just as we were expecting to have the work done so we could bring our belongings back in from storage in our garage and start getting ready for the holidays. The other problem was a personality conflict Tony and our painter had with expecting the other to do certain preparation tasks.
Description of Work: Work with homeowners to select appropriate carpet and vinyl flooring products for a medium sized home. Remove old carpet and padding in living room, three hallways, main bedroom, and install new padding and carpet. Install new sheet vinyl in combo kitchen/dining area and vinyl squares in small bathroom. Install floor moldings in kitchen/dining area. Install suitable floor transitions. Install caulking around floor in small bathroom. As part of work, move emptied furniture out of house and then back in once job is complete. Coordinate work with painting contractor hired by homeowner to do interior painting in same rooms (painting to be done first, then flooring, then painter to return for touch ups). For various reasons, homeowners needed to stay living at home during the painting and flooring, which understandably slowed the work down some.
