They are extremely responsive. They try to save you as much money as they can, but their work is excellent. We had an urgent problem and they came within a few hours, examined the problem and scheduled the work within the next 48 hours. They completed it very satisfactorily. 

One of our tenants called late on a Friday afternoon to tell me that water was coming out of a wall near the front of our building.  I was a good two hours or more away.  We had not previously used Barrington Plumbing, but were intending to try them out the next time we needed plumbing assistance in the Pasadena area.  I quickly found their number on my iPhone, but wasn't sure they would even answer due to the late hour.  Not only did they answer, Richard was there within 30 minutes.  He shut off the water and coordinated with our tenants too so that they would understand what had happened and what was going to have to happen.

Access was limited to a small door in the wall at the main shutoff valve.  Rather than demo the wall and leave us facing stucco repairs and painting, Richard suggested installing a larger access door in the wall.  The stucco was carefully cut for the new access  door, the pipe repaired and the new door installed - all very professionally done.  There was no discussion of price beforehand as we simply could not afford to not have this problem dealt with as quickly as possible.  When the bill eventually arrived we were pleasantly surprised at the very reasonable amount!  We will definitely use Barrington Plumbing again!

Having bought the replacement parts myself saved money. The plumber obviously knew his stuff and was fast, pleasant. They had a minimum fee, I believe that is what I was charged.

In 2000, the plumber was punctual and efficient, spending only 2 hours on the job. My only complaint (years later) is that the plumber should have installed a pipe brace and attached it to the house. The earthquake valve is installed on a horizontal run of pipe approx. 15 inches long, and it sometimes trips when I am mowing the grass around it. In 2007, the plumber who performed this job was punctual, courteous, and efficient. He dug the holes himself, cut the 4-inch ABS pipe, fitted and installed it. I had no doubt this plumber was an experienced professional. He used a rubber fitting with clamps on both ends for the junction between the ABS and clay pipe. This is what the previous junction had used before, but the difference was that this plumber spent an extra 30 minutes packing the dirt that supported the rubber fitting from underneath. There is little chance that either pipe has moved due to settling. In 2008, Richard wouldn't give me a quote until I opened up the wall so that he could see the old pipe that I knew needed replacement. As a result, he had to come back a second time. He was on time for both appointments. The plumber who performed the work was professional and efficient, reusing some of the old ABS pipe, and deftly handling the tricky bend at the bottom of the wall to attach the pipe to the existing ABS under the house. Although I am happy with the work, I recently noticed a year later that one of the joints has a tiny leak under the sink. Someday, I'm planning to hire Barrington to replace the rest of the clay sewer pipe, and to fix my drain pipe venting problems in the attic.

They have done an excellent job for us. They showed up on time and have done the work very quickly. After the job was done they cleaned everything up.

I originally called to get an estimate and they were friendly on the phone and gave labor rates right away. Then, when I decided to have the work done, became a little difficult to reach them to set an appt.(ie. called during business hours and reached the answer service), but they were responsive once I spoke with them direct. Upon arrival, extremely friendly, courteous and willing to do what we asked.

THEY DID A LOT OF WORK TO FIND THE CLOG, TAKE IT OUT, AND TAKE CARE OF IT. I AM ALWAYS PLEASED WITH THEM. I'VE HAD A COUPLE OF THEIR PEOPLE. THEY ARE A UNION SHOP SO THEY ALL HAVE SIGNIFICANT TRAINING AS REQUIRED BY THE UNION. THEY ARE ALL POLITE AND WHAT YOU WOULD WANT. THE LAST GUY WAS NOT UNNERVED BY THE DOGS. IT'S NOT A REQUIREMENT, BUT IT'S NICE.

THE COMPANY HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR YEARS, I HAS DEALT WITH THE COMPANY FOR ABOUT 18 YEARS. THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS. THEY WERE ALSO PROFESSIONAL.

I HAD A LEAK IN MY WATER LINE THAT WAS CONNECTED TO THE CITY'S WATERLINE. THEY SHOWED ME THE CORROSION ON MY LINE AND RECOMMENDED REPLACING THE ENTIRE LINE. I DID HAVE TO BARGAIN AS THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE WAS HIGHER. THEY DID A VERY CLEAN JOB AND I HAVE NOT HAD ANY TROUBLE SINCE THEN.
