There is nothing like finding a leaky pipe on Sunday, I found Expert plumbing on Google, I expected to pay a little more than a week day repair call but more then three times the regular price? I had another pipe leak a little over a year and a half ago and was charged $175.00 which was fair and reasonable, the pipe was a bigger pipe and and when i told Juan he answered Its Sunday, I got charged $575.00 three times the price and he wanted to charge me an additional charge of $60.00 total of $635.00. I was told $ 60.00 would be charged if I refused the repair when I called them, when i told Juan that he reduced the $60.00. And I know I had the right to refuse the repair but the person living there is a elderly person and i could not leave him without water for a long time, I had to do the right thing. Any way BUYER BE AWARE if you have a emergency and don't want to be taken, you decide what to do. I will let you know they came in a reasonable amount of time and Juan was nice, and took the money with a smile.

I previously did a review on this company a few days ago. Although I gave the technician a good review of quality of work and punctuality, I gave an overall 'F' because of pricing, since I felt ripped off since the initial charge was for $295 and I realized after the fact that the replacement valve cost less than $30 (I assumed it would cost a lot more), and the job took only 30 mins (though I was told it would take 1-2 hrs). Also, I now had to find someone to fill in the 8"x8" drywall cutout made by the technician. So this job was now going to cost me $350-400. So the 'F' was really for dishonesty. Well, I received a call from Angie's list to discuss my complaint so I clarified questions I was asked. Much to my surprise I received an unexpected and unrequested hostile call this morning from the owner or person-in-charge from Expert. He was clearly very upset with me, stating that his company gave up other jobs to come out to fix the leak (though they scheduled the appt for the day after I called, not on an urgent basis), that his company does a very professional job (something I had never questioned) and that I agreed to their charges before the work was done (how would I have known beforehand that I was being overcharged, and the technician did say it would take 1-2 hr when it only took 1/2 hr). He told me that he did lower their charges by $45 after I complained to them that their charges were excessive. He said he would dispute my complaint in writing (to which I stated that I would have preferred he do that, than to call me without my permission to express his hostility). So now, I have given Expert Plumbing an 'F' for professionalism. I felt somewhat threatened by the call.
