Dan Nessi came to our home the next day after we called. We had lost power to a big part of our kitchen but could not find the reason ourselves after an extensive search. In about 15 minutes he discovered the problem in an outlet that the stove plugged into located in back of a set of drawers that we did not even know was there. He fixed it quickly and tested all of the other outlets to make sure everything was working correctly. He was here for about an hour and only charged us $65!
He was very professional, friendly and courteous. He and his son will be the first ones we call if we have any electrical issues in the future.
I cannot say enough about the work that Dan performed at our house. He responded promptly to my request for service and called me first thing in the morning to set up a time to show up. He arrived a few minutes early and was extremely professional and knowledgeable in troubleshooting the problem. He answered all of my questions quickly and confidently and proceeded to fix the problems that I told him about. As is often the case when dealing with electrical issues sometimes fixing the initial problems uncovers other issues in with wiring. Shortly after Dan left I experienced some more issues with the light switch in question even though it was working when he was at the house. I called Dan and let him know what had happened and he responded quickly to my message. He arranged to come back out to my house the next day even though it was a Saturday (a day in which he normally does not work). He arrived promptly the next morning and attacked the issue and shortly figured out the new problem. Apparently the electrician who wired the ceiling fan/light when the house was built did a half a** job. Instead of putting in a few extra junction boxes he crammed all the wires into one box and called it good. He also had the wrong circuit breaker in the box as it was rated higher than what it should have been for the type of wire used. (He installed a 30 amp when a 20 amp was needed) Dan explained that the higher amperage circuit break would allow the gauge of wire used in the ceiling fan would get hot and act as a heating element before tripping the breaker a definite fire hazard!! Dan replaced the breaker with the proper one and rewired the ceiling fan as well as adding extra junction boxes to mitigate any further issues. Dan when well above and beyond in fixing the issues that were left behind by the original electrician. I will be using Dan again in the future for some other projects we have in mind and I will HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to my family and friends if they are in need of an electrician.
He did not suggest any unnecessary additions to the agreement.
He was here over 2 hours and wasted no time.
The dryer heats well and the new chandelier lightens and dims appropriately.
If I have any future electrical issues, I will certainly call Mr. Nessi
