They are excellent. They gave me a quotation, father and son. They had all Japanese style for trees and bushes and knowledge of how to use the land and the right way to scape it. The one I liked was the oriental style. They were very knowledgeable. The irrigation was enlightening. Their price was good. I would recommend them to others and would use them in the future as well.

Richard had worked on my back yard last year and had done a really nice job planting herbs and citrus, and designed a Japanese Zen spot near ponds. I liked his work so much I decided to have him come in and edit the front yard (turned out to need almost a complete redo). He saved plants he could, relocated some plants for better light and filled in with some new plants better suited to lighting situation. He gives his best estimate and then may come in with some additional elements after he's sat back and reviewed the plantings and landscape. He comes back to check the plantings and irrigation often after he has finished the planting to make sure everything is taking and that the irrigation is working properly. It turned out I wanted more perennials and colors and he made some wonderful choices. I can't wait to see it in bloom in Spring. Richard is a perfectionist and really takes pride in his work, selecting trees and shrubs by best shape for the area (meaning he just doesn't go to the nursery and buy whatever they have). I think his pricing is spot on. We thought for the size of our yard, that his pricing might have been high, but he adjusts once he sees the situation and talks to you, and we found that extra elements he brings into the garden that we might not have thought about before really make a big difference in the design.
