Karen Baillie

I called Karen to sell my deceased mother's home in the Torrance P.O. area (Los Angeles County island) in March 2012. She previously sold two other homes very near Mom's house. Karen's visits to my mom at the time of those sales, and afterward impressed my mom. Karen developed a rapport with her, and Mom kept several of her business cards. When it was time call a realtor, I called Ms. Baillie first - with the intent to interview several other realtors before I made my decision. I was so impressed with Karen's professionalism and enthusiasm, I decided to list with her with no hesitation. Karen worked very closely with me, gave lots of great advice on preparing the home for sale, and worked with me on setting a price that would attract buyers. This is an extremely volatile time for real estate, and I was very anxious and pessimistic about the outcome. Luckily, Karen knew what was happening and kept me on the positive path. We received an offer, well over asking price, on the first day of the listing. Karen made sure the buyers were qualified, serious and truly interested in purchasing in the area, and this home, in particular. She promptly replied to my inquiries and kept me informed every step of the way. We were able to exchange many documents on-line, avoiding either of us making long trips to review or sign documents (I live in North Orange County). She is sharp, straight forward, has a super sense of humor, and is just a real pleasure to work with. I learned a lot about the steps in residential real estate transactions and am so glad my "gut-feeling" was rewarded with a very smooth and relatively stress-free escrow and closing. I liked everything about working with her and would highly recommend Karen to anyone buying or selling a home.
