The Animal Doctors have been our vet for 15+ years, covering 2 dogs with many and varied ailments over the course of time. They were knowledgeable and caring. They are a small office that know your name--not a big, anonymous business. They've reset a broken leg, responded to bee sting reactions, handled acute arthritis pain (successfully treated with laser treatments), multiple eye infections, extracted foxtails from the dog's nose, cleaned teeth, treated stomach disorders, and handled a host of other issues I can't even remember. And, lastly, they handled the final service for our last dog--with compassion and sympathy.
They will not try to push you into anything unnecessary and will refer you to specialists when appropriate. I highly recommend them.

They were very personable. They were very quick when I called to schedule an appointment; there was no two to three weeks wait. It was that day or the next day that we got in. The doctor was very thorough and they didn't even call for checkups. They were not as high as some other veterinary clinic in price; they were more reasonable. I had to wait one time about a half hour.

They did a great job on everything. The whole staff was very helpful and professional. I recommend them highly.

Excellent service by Dr. Liu. She finally figured out my dog's itching problem after I'd tried 4 different vets, and she gave me an inexpensive method of clearing up any potential infections from scratching. Very nice office, nice doc.

I really appreciate the time and attention Dr. Liu takes. She is great with our (nervous) dog. She takes the time to explain anything in detail, isn't rushed, is willing to spend a little extra time listening to specific reports and ideas. I wish I could get care of that high quality. We've taken our dog to Animal Doctors for about 3 years after getting less and less happy with another vet nearby and couldn't be more pleased.

My cats were evaluated and diagnosed. I appreciate the input from the vet. The price was a little high but I was dealing with complicated issues and it was worth it. They were asking me what I wanted to do before I had to pay; I had a choice each step of the way. One of my cats is still under treatment there so I will definitely continue going.

Over the years I have taken everything including rats, cats and dogs. They do a very good job. They are not inexpensive but I don't know what other vets charge. I am very happy with the care that all my animals have had. I have confidence that their people really care and are knowledgeable about various types of animals. He deals with all kinds of animals but I normally have taken cats and dogs except for the rats. He is always knowledgeable and he gives you good advice to help with situations.

Our Dobie developed some bald patches. Dr Lagerwerff worked his way through the possible causes while keeping us informed on his thinking and to double check Lola's reaction to treatments. It culminated in a blood test to check her thyroid. This was the least likely and most expensive to test as it required an outside specialty lab. Low thyroid was the ultimate diagnosis. She's completely recovered and d*** well. This is a typical experience for us with Animal Doctor's so we've been clients for 15+ years for all our animals. He's also a Doberman nut :-)

We just moved and needed to find a vet in our area. We have two dogs. One of our dogs acquired a skin condition that looked nasty enough to need a vet so the hunt for a new vet was on! The Animal Doctors was our second attempt (the first didn't go well). We asked specifically for Dr. Lagerwerff when making the appointment (if you don't you may get a vet that has not been reviewed). We didn't have a long wait for the appointment and we liked that you could fill out the "first visit" forms from their website. The front office staff was professional, friendly and the appointment was prompt (no wait). Dr. Lagerwerff was competent, thorough, thoughtful, and genuinly interested in the well being of our dog. Our dog is a bit nervous at vets, but Dr. Lagerwerff took all that in stride and did a good job of bonding with and handling our dog. Besides the consult and exam he made recommendations for care (including a medication available over the counter) and a prescription for an ointment (which has helped alot). He asked that I call in a week and let him know how the dog was responding. When I did call it was wonderful the front office staff remembered our dog by name. Several weeks later there was a repeat of the skin condition -- I called and the office staff were good enough to talk with Dr. Lagerwerff and call me back with recommendations at no charge. We have received a "Welcome" card and a survey to give them feedback. Overall we feel like we are in good hands with Dr. Lagerwerff and the staff at the Animal Doctors and have found our new vet.

He is an excellent diagnostician and surgeon. He is very caring and very knowledgeable. He is good with animals. He is good at answering questions and explaining things.

They are great and very professional. They take their time to find out what is wrong with your pet. They are very thorough and very patient and they understand the illness or problem of your pet.

They are extraordinary.
