The work was fine, but shortly after completion of job the company closed its doors, after 25 years in service. I am writing this report because I found out that it just reopened with a different owner. So, my warranty is worthless now, a pretty big deal. Beware of Responsible Roofing: they may not be the same company that you had experience before, or that someone else reviewed.

"it is true that Paul Elmore the owner of responsible roofing has closed the company in 2009. it was in business for 32 years. the general manager of responsible roofing was Eduardo Peña. He helped improve the efficiency and quality of the company . He was laid off when the company closed and he started a new company that is called Roofing Responsibly. he was honoring all warrantees until he was audited by workers comp and they told him it was illegal and had to pay a fine so he no longer dose warranty work for responsibly roofing, however we will give a discount for customers of responsibly roofing. He has 30 years experience and he still specialize in Tar & Gravel roofs. If you need any help contact roofing responsibly @ 650 568 5980"

They were very responsible, they did everything they said they would. They followed up on their service. It is very unusual to find someone who does what they say they will do.

I had a good experience with this company. There was no hassle, they did a nice job cleaning up when they were finished and they are very reliable. I thought they were very competent in what they do. They were in the middle of the pack in terms of price, but they did offer me a longer guarantee than their competitors. The only thing I wasn't pleased with was that they did not paint the gutters.

After roof was put on it leaked immediately. Gutters and downspouts put in the wrong places. Refusal to fix damages done by the leaks. Rude, employees.

It took a while to get them out to the house (about four weeks) but the job took about a day when the workers arrived. They appear to have done a good job but only time will tell.

They were on time. They did an excellent job. They cleaned up. Any problems we had were dealt with immediately. I had some problems with leaking tar on a rug. They paid for the professional cleaner without a hitch. Later, I found an area of some torn screening. Keith came out, on time, and told me to get it fixed and send the bill. The bill was paid in 3 days. I would use them again, if necessary. Superb people.

Keith was very professional and inspired confidence. Bid was lower than an alternative. Major work was completed within four days and cleanup was excellent.

Well they stuck to their estimate. They did a real fine job. They did a beautiful job on the skylights. They were on time and they were professional. They cleaned up all the mess and I would surely recommend them.
