We chose this painting service because it was highly rated here on Angie's list and elsewhere, but were disappointed in the quality and professionalism of the service. 
The company did some things well.  They handled the insurance paper work well and were punctual, showing up on time every day.  They also did a walk-around at the end of the job, painting missed spots and cleaning paint spots that I noticed at that time.  When they were preparing areas for painting, we discovered that the top of a parapet wall needed to be replaced.  They offered to come back when after we had the replacement done to paint it.   They also offered to come back if we found other missed spots.  They did come back to paint the top of the parapet wall.
This company's service was disappointing, though with regard to masking and protecting fixtures that should not be painted.  One issue was the light fixtures.  In the week prior to the job, we hadn't signed the contract to go ahead because of attending to a dying relative.  Avi Lechner, the head of the company, cajoled me into going ahead with the job and offered to remove the light fixtures prior to painting, because I did not have time to remove them.  I unfortunately didn't get this written into my contract, and the light fixtures were not removed.  I found that 5 out of 7 had paint on them.   When the painters returned to paint the parapet wall, they also made an attempt to clean the lights, but were not successful.  I find that 5 of 7 still have paint.  One is particularly bad, having speckles of paint in many of the little indentations on the surface of the lamp housing.  I contacted them again about these fixtures, and sent pictures of the issues, but got no response.
I also found the crew to be unprofessional in how they performed the work.  They dumped paint residue on the ground in  the back corner of my property.  They left a large bag of empty paint cans in my residents' dumpster.  One of the crew members was caught jumping on a pogo stick that belongs to a resident's child.  Unfortunately, it was the child's grandmother who happened to catch them.   The crew was also caught playing with a resident's softball.  Avi Lechner argued with me about what color an area was to be painted.  They refused to stick to scheduled time blocks that they had stated they would need to have residents' doors or garages open, because they didn't feel like switching colors when that time came, instead shifting the door painting to a different day.  We're required by law to give residents at least 24 hours notice and some of them wanted to be present, as well.

Avi's team was punctual every day. They were very professional, communicated well, and I was comfortable with them working in the house. We have textured walls and bullnose corners, which requires expertise to get the transition lines right. Avi repaired minor cracks and holes and matched wall texture as needed. We are particular in our expectations and did inspect the finished work for smooth transitions and clean lines. Avi went through the house with us and immediately corrected any items that we pointed out. He went out of his way to check in with us again after the job ended and to make sure that we are completely satisfied with the work. We will work with Avi again and recommend him without reservation. 

Avi and his team did an excellent job at my house.  I highly recommend them if you want attention to detail and high quality work.  Avi was prompt with his estimate, came as scheduled and overall was everything you would want when working with a painter.  He did the extras that make a difference.  Most importantly, the house looks great!

He was marvelous.  He had top quality.  He came very highly recommended from a friends network.  He was absolutely first rate quality.  He consulted with us extensively.  A few times when things were not quite right, for one reason or another, he addressed them immediately and had is workers them.  He was not the least expensive by any means.  He gets the job done the first time and the quality is superior.  We didn't get competitive bids, so I don't know how his price compared.  I just assumed, from talking to him, that he would be near the top as far as price goes.  He said if I'm trying to get it done at a lower price that he wasn't the guy to hire.  He was very responsive, we had his cell phone number and his office number.  When we needed him, he wasn't always right there because he's got other jobs but he was nearby.  If we needed something, sometimes he would call his foreman and his foreman would handle it.  They were very responsive and very quick.

I contacted Avi after seeing his sign outside a house that I admired. I spoke with the owner, who highly recommended Avi's painting company. The whole experience was positive -from walk through and estimate to completed job. These guys are professional, detail-oriented, and completely clean up after themselves. Work was done in the amount of time estimated, which we greatly appreciated. We will have them back to to more work in the spring & confidently recommend them to others.

The existing paint on our house presented some huge challenges, and Avi and his excellent crew had to work very hard and creatively to unify all the various textures left behind by the previous painters. Avi’s attention to detail and true craftsmanship were key to repairing the entire exterior of the house. His quote was reasonable, especially considering two painters wouldn’t even offer a quote because the job appeared so difficult. Avi takes pride in ownership of his job sites and demands a high standard from his very capable foreman and crew who were punctual and left a tidy job site each day.

They do high quality work and are very responsive.

Overall, Avi's crew did a good job. However, he had promised a few things that he did not deliver on. He promised he would spray all of the doors in our condo instead of painting them with a brush. He explained this would give it a smoother surface, however, when it came time for him to paint, his crew painted the doors with a brush. Also, after living in our newly painted space, we have noticed some sloppy work. There was a white patch that was left unpainted in our living room. Also, the edges or corners of paint are not straight in a few areas. He did not put all of the window coverings back on a couple of windows too. We thought Avi and his painters were friendly and effecient. They were very careful, but missed a couple of things. You could blame this on human error or that we had negotiated a lower price with Avi for the work and he did not feel he should do as careful of a job as he might normally. Avi feels very strongly about the environment and we do as well. However, we did not pay Avi to lecture us about our choice in flooring (carpeting in some areas of our condo), but to do a careful job of painting our new place. We are happy with his overall job, but did not appreciate having to touch-up some areas.

Terrific. Avi was great in helping me choose colors without making the choices for me. Willing to put lots of samples on the wall for me to mull over. His crew was fast, professional, and considerate of my home. I had trouble finding the hinges I wanted for my kitchen cabinets and Avi went out and got them for me. After the job they came back to check that everything looked good and happy to fix tiny things I wanted done. And the price was better than 2 other bids I got.

Avi Lenchner and his crew where very professional, clean and efficient. They came on time, respected the house hold needs, exceeded our expectations, and the results are great. I would recommend them to everyone. Avi even help me with choosing colors, which were hard for me to decide. I believe I got my money's worth and more. In the past, cheap labor brought me only agony, but not this time!!!
