The end result is great. Floors look beautiful.
Overall, the experience was good, especially since this was our first remodel and we were scheduling flooring very close to painting all while packing and planning to move in on a deadline. They were responsive to our changing schedule and my rookie questions. There was one small bump related to some odd sounds created by the recommended underlayment pad. That was remedied with a couple of phone conversations.
Their installer - John - knew what he was doing and did some nice inventive carpentry to cut the trim pieces from the flooring company to work well with the clean look and straight lines in our Eichler. We plan to have him back for further trim work once we upgrade our windows.
This is a small, locally-owned business. The owners are not salesman and don't appear to employ salespeople so if you need a flashy showroom or a lot of handholding, this is not your place. If you like to do your own research, but still want to see and feel the product in your hand and bring a good sized sample back to your house, this is a great place. They carry most of the major good quality brands and can get most anything from their suppliers at a fair price. They do know their stuff and will work with you.
