After he took measurements and photographs of our food center which included a new gas BBQ and under the counter refrigerator, Will told me he would write and estimate of cost to do tiling, wiring and some painting. He took our e-mail address and said the estimate would be sent via e-mail in about a week. After about 10 days of waiting for the estimate and not hearing from Will, I called his business. He was not in so I left a message asking him to call me so we could discuss the work he was going to do and the cost of his work. Will did not return my call. Several days later I again called Will and again left a message on his machine. He never called me back. I called Will two more times with the same non-contact results. The man should not be a referral on Angie's List.
Description of Work: Will came to our residence to estimate the cost of re-tiling our outdoor food center and also repair or replce existing wiring.

Description of Work: He changed the handle and the lock to the back door in the garage. He also adjusted my garage door opener and fixed a sliding door. Finally, he re-sealed the toilet.

+ -1 moreWill is very professional and very very good. I contacted his scheduling office about an estimate and received a callback within 24 hours. We recently replaced all our windows and doors with new-construction vinyl ones -- which meant breaking out the stucco. I hired Will to repair and finish the stucco around the new windows/doors. He and his team completed the job within the planned schedule and the work looks as if nothing ever happened. I've had stucco work done before and always found chips and debris in adjacent shrubs and flower beds. Not so with these guys. Very very good job. We liked his work so well that we had him come back to tape, mud, and texture new drywall that we installed as we remodeled our liviing/dining rooms. Again he did the work in a professional and timely manner. And the guys cleaned up as if they were never there. His services are a little more pricey than others but the quality is there. And I would hire him again.

+ -1 moreI have used Will for a couple of years now.. When I actually get in touch with him .. he is very good.. but there is a big scheduling problem with this guy.. very tough to get estimates and he is VERY expensive. I have decided not to use him anymore

+ -1 moreHe never bothered to even return my calls, provide any estimate in writing or even have the professional courtesy to inform me that he couldn't or didn't want to do the job. I delayed my job to wait to see his bid. What a waste of time, and it's a very time sensitive job and he knew that.

+ 2 moreThe overall experience was great from start to finish. They were punctual, professional, and nice people to deal with. This was my second job assigned to Will's Fix-All and it won't be my last. I trust them to do a great job each and every time.
Description of Work: Will's Fix-All removed a laundry room window, framed it in, installed insulation, drywall, taped and spackled where the window had been. They then applied stucco to the exterior.

+ -1 moreI read his unbelievably great reviews on Angie's list. I loved that he did almost everything- no need to call 10 experts if you can call one, right? I called, the voice messaging said he would return my call by 10am the next day (that's great I thought!)....and yet I never got a call back. End of story :(
Description of Work: Will should probably change his outgoing voice mail. It says he will return your call by 10am the next day. I did not receive such a call. Maybe he is just too busy because he does such great work. It's understandable and I'm disappointed. And we need more excellent people like him. BUT.... just say you are too busy and it will save everyone a lot of time! Thank you.

+ 1 moreWill's Handyman Service received solid reviews and so I contacted Will for an estimate on a few handyman chores-- installing outdoor sunshades and power washing the front/back concrete areas. In addition, I requested a quote on repairing the cement step (piece of concrete broke off) next to the pool. Will arrived on time for the estimate and told me he would send me an estimate via email shortly. A week later I contacted his office and his receptionist told me Will had been very busy, but I should expect an estimate soon. Another two weeks went by and I contacted his receptionist again. Told her if Will is too busy or the job is not big enough for me, I understand and just to let me know so I can find someone else. She assured me neither are true and I absolutely will get a phone call from Will shortly. It has been over a month and still no call or explanation.......poor customer service.

Description of Work: Will came to our house as promised but was a bit late. He walked through the house and noted each job we had for him. There were many "handyman" jobs such as changing out faucets (3), hanging pictures(2), replacing hard-to get-to light bulbs, etc. He was very nice and even remembered our house being built as he had helped with the drywall of the house over 27 years ago. We gave him a written list of all the jobs and he said he would get back to us with a price in the next few days. Today is Oct. 16, 2012 and he NEVER responded to us. We have since had the jobs done by another person.

+ 2 moreWhile Will arrived on time and appeared to be both competent and professional, I did not receive the promised estimate. Accordingly, I followed up the following week and, after getting the run around for several days, got to speak to his phone recetionist. She stated that he was way too busy to prepare an estimate and that, as a and quot;one man showand quot;, he really had little capacity to take on new work. I asked her when he could prepare an estimate and she, after talking to Will, advised me that he was fully booked through this year and was not interested in the work. The words she used was: and quot;we'll passand quot;. While I have no problem with contractors passing on work opportunities, I have a real problem with broken promises and the lack of professional courtesy to let a potential know that the expected estimate wasn't going to arrive. Indeed, Will's behavior delayed by weeks my boss' ability to get the walk-in bath that his physician considers improtant to his health and well-being. Maybe Will was an A performer when he started on Angie's list, but he is now, without question, an F performer.
Description of Work: As the house manager for an elderly gentleman with severe health issues, I invited Wills Fix All to propose installation services. I was told that Will had good experience with this kind of project, was interested and I arranged a Thursday evening visit for him to prepare an estimate. I made it clear that I needed that estimate by the weekend because I already had two estimates, needed a third and understood that his was likely to be the low bid.

+ -1 more"Will" and his assistant did a nice job on the microwave installation - they were very careful and had all the tools necessary for working in an older, painted wood kitchen (ie not a lot of fancy woodwork or finish to deal with). The faucet leaked after the installation and he returned to check it at no charge. It did seem to take longer for projects than I'd expected, so to stay on budget I'd probably prefer to pay him by the project rather than by the hour for projects that other companies might give "hard" bids to do. He is not cheap or super fast - but I would recommend him since he is easy going, positive and very professional.
Description of Work: Replaced a kitchen range fan with a microwave (which required some cabinetry work), and installed a bathroom faucet and two simple ceiling fan installations. Took about day and a half (a little over 12 hours).

+ -1 moreOthers told me that I needed to buy a new door and special order it. He was able to fix it for me. The home where he repaired the door is a home I only go to on the weekends. I had everything done by phone. I told him how to get in and he took my payment over the phone and I was very pleased with him. I went back the next weekend and the door was fixed.

Will really wants you to get your full $45 worth. I highly recommended and plus I love the fact he is a mature gentleman which means he has a and quot;little grayand quot; in his hair. (lol) Anyway, thank you so much Will and I have found my Handyman for life!!! PS: I offered him a bottle of Gatorade Low Calorie Raspberry Lemonade which he loved and I think he worked even faster (lol)

Description of Work: Will's Fix All worked on my home in Palm Desert, CA (Sandpiper) from 8JAN 2012-9May2012. Will and his right hand man Isreal did an outstanding job at very high standards. I did a complete remodel on a mid century classic and Will ensured it was done 1st class in all respects. Will's painter/drywall man is Isreal and he worked tirelessly, he was trained by Will and he is a machine that is dedicated to getting the job done right the 1st time. Will worked on my house as if was his own. I am a retired Navy Captain and I know when someone is doing his job right, and Will won my full trust. I was often away from the job site and Will never let me down, he and Isreal showed up on time and stayed the entire workday. Will did it all, electrical, plumbing, painting, wall / ceiling master plaster, roof solar coating, stucco repair, kitchen cabinets, bathroom installs, doors interior/exterior, cement work, windows and sliding door repair/replacement. Will is the best and I highly recommend his service. He get an A+ on Angie's List and he got it because he is very GOOD. I am planning a 2nd major home remodel in Palm Springs and Will will be my right hand man for that job.

Although I did not hear from them with the bid for four working days, once accepted, Will and Israel showed up on time each day until the job was completed to my satisfaction. They were professional, courteous, and yes, I will definitely be contacting Will's Fix-All for my next home improvement project. Well done.
Description of Work: Will and Israel built and installed seven roof support columns onto my back patio, built and installed a 4 X 12 foot lattice privacy wall on the patio, and built and installed a 6 X 6 foot lattice enclosure around my central air conditioner and sprinkler system controls.
