Rick Cochran"s pool const, Renovation work

From the moment that I contacted Rick, he provided a high level of service - communicating next steps, providing insight and quoting a reasonable price. The installation went great! My parents were very happy. An A+++ pool contractor.

It went great! Everything is working fine.

The pool controller for my spa was failing and too old to repair. It runs filtering, heater, valves, jets and lighting for a large in-ground spa with no pool. It is complicated by my having a 2-speed pump. Rick replaced the controller and related components. He also did several minor repairs such as replacing the seals in the valves and replacing the spa lightbulb.
I?ve had this spa 11 years. A lot of people have worked on it. Something major has gone wrong almost every time. This was no exception. Rick was proactive in resolving what went wrong. He did not charge me extra for doing so.
I hired Rick because he seem to care, while others did not. I got several bids for this project. All were lower than Rick?s. The others were focused on selling me what they wanted to sell without regard to what I wanted or what my spa needed. Rick took time to listen, discus options, and propose several solutions. He patiently repeated this process to resolve what had gone wrong. So I got the best fit for my situation given the products on the market.
The work was done ahead of schedule despite complications. We we able to coordinate many details thru e-mail making communications simple. He works as a real contractor should. He subcontracted much of what was done yet was on-site frequently to supervise and check-in with me. He even sent a specialist to my home just to show me how to use the new system, make sure everything worked, and setup the scheduling for regular cycles.

Based on other positive reviews on this site, I contracted Rick to re-plaster etcetera our pool. I couldn't be happier with the result or with Rick's performance.

Rick draws on years of experience and thanks to his advice we ended up with a beautifully colored pebble/quartz finish that is apparently harder and more durable than a boring white plaster finish. OK, it was a few dollars more, but I didn't feel I was being upsold and I am very happy with the decision.

We also had the bench or ledge in the pool extended and enlarged, and also a very snappy looking hand rail installed. I did not include these in the cost above as I figure most people are looking for a re-plaster job and want to compare like with like.

As other reviewers noted, Rick always turned up when he said he would and he replied promptly to phone calls. The whole transaction was very professional with a very low BS-factor. Rick said that at the outset that it would take ten days end to end. By day eight, the pool was filling with water.

I would use Rick again in a heartbeat.

Rick was very deliberate in communicating before during and after the job. A contractor that actually calls the customer, imagine that. Work was done exactly as described, on time, and they cleaned up after themselves. Bravo!

Rick was great. His advise was perfect and price was better than competitors. He was always around supervising the work and was very responsive with questions. The pool was ready exactly when he said it would be, and I would highly recommend him. A complex project, but everything went according to plan without any anxiety or headache for me.

We wanted to remodel and replaster our swimming pool. As part of the remodeling process, we wanted to add a "tanning ledge" and full length steps. We obtained bids from several providers and ultimately chose Rick Cochran to perform the work.
Rick's price was very reasonable. He explained the process to us and answered all of our questions. He showed up on time on the scheduled start date and personally supervised the work. The process has been smooth and without any issue whatsoever. The quality of the work is perfect. I highly recommend him.
