Modern Home Design Showroom

This started out as a flooring project, but eventually grew to include a complete remodel of the kitchen and bathrooms. The entire team at Modern Home was extremely helpful with design ideas, initial measure, coordinating orders, and suggesting local subs for the work. The showroom has a wide variety of options - easy to get overwhelmed! The team helped narrow the focus based on our budget and theme. Throughout the project, we had very good communication and coordination. Highly recommend.

They were very knowledgeable and thoughtful.  They do have some trouble with some of their manufacturers.

Modern Home said the old counter tops had to be removed before the contractor could make a template. True enough, but in the first round they simply suggested I find a handyman to do it. They gave me a verbal description of the process of mounting the counter top, and I thought I understood it, but I guess I didn't.  I didn't find anyone who would tear out the old counter tiles, so I did it myself.  The sink was to be replaced, and they said I could what I wanted myself.  I didn't understand that the old sink shouldn't be replaced with the new one before the counter top was installed. Another misunderstanding. Unfortunately, they did not give me the name of the contractor in advance, so I had no contact with him until he arrived.   Modern Home did not know that the contractor would also clear away the old tiles, or that the exsisting under-counter would have to be removed, so things have been somewhat delayed..  I have called Modern Home and suggested that they always give the customer the name of the contractor chosen.  The removal work would not be covered by the original bid for the counter top, but it might have been worth it. Perhaps it would also be helpful to have a written outline of the actual process, more specific than just saying they would/could find someone to do it for me

Perfectly. Modern Home did a fantastic job, from the beginning when I walked in and didnt quite know what I wanted to following up long distance (I live in Seattle and the remodel was being done in Palm Springs), they were professional all the way. I purchased Ceasarstone quartz counters and Alyse Edwards glass tile backsplash. Their pricing was competitive. They appeared on time, completed the job on time and the final product is gorgeous. I even had a slight problem with some re-caulking and Modern Home followed through. I definitely would recommend them to friends.
