Comfort Air

Comfort Air in Thousand Palms did my service call for my air conditioner on 6-16-2024. They charged me $115.00 for the service call, which I didn't have a problem with. They charged me $999.14 for the A/C Compacitor for the compressor. The price is unfair in my opinion.

They completed and did all the work in a timely manner, did proper clean up and we have no issues. Professional. They knew exactly what they were doing and that's important, they were very communicative with the issue.

A tenant of mine called another vendor during a heat wave when their A/C stopped. That company responded and said it would be over $600 to repair and that, if I didn't do that repair, the unit was likely to break down either that day or the next day. I sent that company away, called Comfort Air, and Comfort Air showed up the same day. They did a routine maintenance, cleaned the coils, and confirmed that everything was working, the A/C was fine. Over a week later, everything is still working. The total cost was $75. I've purchased 2 HVAC systems from Comfort Air, and they've always done an excellent job. I advise you select your HVAC vendors very carefully, if you know what I mean.

My 1 year old home needed a more efficient system since we live in a very hot and sometimes humid desert climate. After consulting with many companies in the area I decided to trust Paul at Comfort Air with the project. First and foremost the education I received and explanation of all of my options along with corresponding costs enabled me to make an informed decision. Prices were very competitive and the quality of work performed was nothing less than excellent. Mike and his crew were very detailed in their work and cleaned up afterwards leaving no trace that they were in my home except for the stellar HVAC system they installed. The job only took a day and a half and I was only without AC for about 8 hours. After discussing all of my options with Paul I decided to go with the XC25, more expensive high end Lennox model, but awesome. It is quiet and variable speed which saves on energy while optimizing comfort and humidity. After the installation, Paul walked me through the entire job to verify what they had done. He explained the state of the art Lennox wifi thermostat and then walked me outside to the condenser. My first reaction was "wonderful....its not working!!" until we got right up to the unit and I realized it was in fact running but was super quiet.... I am sure my neighbors will appreciate the quiet. Just a note, I am not affiliated with Comfort Air nor any of their employees. I found them through Angie's list. I would definitely encourage you to get suggestions and an estimate from Paul if you are shopping for an HVAC system or even just need repairs.

quick, efficient and punctual. completed as advertised. employees were professional. unit works excellent.

Paul Votta, the owner's son showed up on time on the appointed day and proceed to do masterful work over the next 4 hours. He installed the durnace and completely renovated the furnace area improving its appearance and sealing around the furnace to keep the ever-present desert dust out of the system. This was one of the best home repair experiences I have ever had. Excellent work, expertly done at a fair price. The way a business should operate.

They show up when they say they are going to. They do quality work.

They called prior to their arrival, did a survey, and did their work. Apparantly, I needed a LOT (5 lbs) of Freon.
