Lino's Independent Mercedes Service

Ok, but price was too high.

I had the "Service A and B" that Mercedes refers to. The cost of the bulbs was $258! Tis was a glorified oil and lube job for $700. Way too expensive. They did a good job but I will try somewhere else next time that is less expensive.

My wife was the customer and she thought that they seemed quite knowledgeable and that they did what they promised for the price that they quoted.

Needed to have the vehicle towed which cost an additional $90.
For some reason they are reluctant to have a customer visit the shop area when the work is being done.
They use the excuse that insurance will not allow customers in the shop.
I would use this company again with some reservations, since their cost structure is lower than the dealership.
Work seems to be OK, but not having the ability to chat with the mechanic was frustrating.

I took my SUV in because the check engine light and BAS ESP light were on. And the needed service due,also.
They performed minimun service (oil change, wiper blade change, list. air filter change. I never did speak with a repairman but received a written impersonal checkoff list.
The check engine light came back on that night, as well as the BAS ESP light, so I assume they did not take care of what I needed done.
They found things wrong and did not inform me or offer to repair.ndations
Recommendations:

The Mercedes repair in Portland would call and say what needed to be done.Lino's does not.
Very impersonal and not what I expected from an Angies list service provider.I am new to CA and joined Angies list to fill in the recommendations
when moving to an unknnown area. I am disappointed in Angie's List and Lino's. The only service is lip service from my own personal experience.

It was a standard service.
When I first called them I asked if they would honor a competitor's coupon; she brusquely said No.
Lino's performed the and quot;Band quot; service [your car tells you which service it requires; can't be more definitive about what the actual service entails, sorry] within the time allocated. During the servicing they identified that my car needed a new catalytic converter. Since this would be expensive, I brought the car home after paying for the and quot;Band quot; service and conducted additional research on costs for this new work at competitive companies (even though they are farther away).

I located a different company which had good reviews, was less expensive, and also importantly offered rides to and from home which Lino's didn't offer. During this 'new' company's inspection they determined that my car needed a 2nd catalytic converter unit as well (not identified by Lino's).

I use them because they were on on Angie's List and I know they would be less expensive than a dealer. They also advertise in our church bulletin so I had a certain amount of confidence going in. I have been satisfied with all of the repairs they have made.

They got me in right away. They were fair about their estimate ahead of time and they came under their estimate of what they did. They are honest, very prompt and complete the work on time. I never had to go back and have them re-do something. They do very good work and provide excellent service. The company has been there for a long time and it is a small privately owned company.

They are honest, fair and 98% of the time they know exactly what they are talking about. They are also a lot less expensive than the Mercedes dealer in town.

The mechanic works on Mercedes and we don't have to drive 50 miles down to Palm Springs. He is very good and is always responsive. They do very good work and they stand by their work. I like them and I would use their services in the future too.
