I waited a long time for the installation due to the manufacturer that this company uses and the trim had to be replaced do to the original one buckling in the heat. The owner handled things professionally except for telling me one time that I didn't need to be so melodramatic and having me contact the manufacturer of the sliding glass doors who were very unprofessional. This company made it all right but I wouldn't use them again. I'm posting this because the owner sent me this email. I also disagree with him that my window was installed upside down. He claimed it was do to the writing on the window but his installation the writing is the same way. Here os wj Good morning Mary, Hope all is well with both of you. I went on that site this morning and noticed a note from you and would ask that since we completed the work (mainly that special work with the additional custom trim) if you would be so kind as to change that information on line which looks like we never completed that special work which was a hard one to do, considering it was a error of whoever installed that bedroom window in the first place as we discussed. Sometimes we error, but we do our level best to get the "wagon back on the road" and would hope you are now enjoying the energy saving for the upcoming summer. Would appreciate that consideration. Did not go as well as expected and it was blamed on the window manufacturer to which shouldn't have been my problem but that of the company I contacted with, which was California Design Wood Products. Ron is a wonderful man and even sent me a gift certificate for my inconvenience and replaced screens on my sliding glass doors do to them hitting the handles on the glass doors. As of today we are now dealing with another problem of trimming he installed around my bedroom window to which he stated would last and it's coming apart already. I contracted with him end of January and the final Inspection was on 7/12/16.

It went very well. Ron did all the required work to our satisfaction and we are very happy with the results. We where in another part of the country when the work was done so communication was very important to us. Ron was always in-touch with us and was responsive to any concern we expressed. We would highly recommend working with Ron and California Design on any home improvement project.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WINDOWS ORDERED IN JULY '04 AND NOT DELIVERED UNTIL JANUARY '05. COMPANY HAVING SEVERE FINANCIAL, RESTRUCTURING PROBLEMS. REPLACEMENT WINDOWS INSTALLED WELL, BUT REMODELED WINDOWS WERE A MESS! HAD TO HAVE ANOTHER CONTACTOR RE-FRAME WORK THAT CALIFONIA DESIGNS HAD DONE. DID NOT PASS CITY INSPECTION. GLAD WE DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEM ANYMORE. LUCKY WE EVEN GOT THE WINDOWS.
