Moving
Amazing. The guys; David, Luna and Saul were very professional in their performance and work ethic demonstrated. Especially regarding the moving of my piano. Top notch first rate guys. Very conscientious about the care of my piano as well as to their safety. I would hire these men again in a heart beat. Only one small area of damage to my dining table which I've already repaired personally.

Moving
Movers showed up early. Asked me how much the estimate was, so i said it was 10 hours total. Moved the stuff to the truck. Slowed down. And actual mover (truck driver Dan) charges me for 10.5 hours for the part 1 of the move. I think he thought that the estimate was just for one move. I don't think he knew there was a part 2. He took his time just to complete the quoted 10 hours, even went half an hour over. So part 2 is still pending at this time. I called Dean the next day and he's like, " there must have been something different with what you reported to me earlier," making me a liar as he referred to our earlier phone conversation about the inventory. But in all honesty, I disclosed everything. Dean was more concerned about how many rooms we were moving out from. His estimate of the distance were also off, it should have been more than 100 miles, about 130 miles. And his estimate was 96 miles. Looks like he's avoiding to do this the legal way. He was supposed to go by weight if the move was more than 100mi, not hours. I've looked up the website where you can complain about intrastate movers in Calfornia: http://www.cpuc.ca.gov/PUC/CEC/e_complaint/c_movercomplaint.htm . We'll see what happens. NEVER EVER GO WITH THESE MOVERS! AND IF YOU DO, GET READY TO BE RIPPED OFF!!!!
Will try to give update on part 2.

Moving, Storage
Try moving from California to Philly and sending a 28 footer i believe or larger to the small streets. Of Philly and try parking, also getting lost and not understanding each others language. I would recomend VIP to anyone who has to ship china and crystal, antiques etc. Speak to Jay.

Moving
They charged me $1400 for a local one bedroom move, ruined 2 pieces of furnitre everything I own is scratched or broken and now 2 paintings are missing. When they arrived they changed the terms of payment and said they needed a credit card or cash payment only or they would leave my stuff on the street.

Moving
Over all it went OK. They seemed to slow down greatly at the end of the day and we did most of the unloading ourselves. Except for the few large pieces we had, we could have done the job ourselves by renting a truck. We hired this company based on the quote and we believe that they should have stood by it. They really didn't have a good explanation for the overcharges, but what can you do when they are demanding payment right in front of you with all your stuff in boxes and you just want to get it over with and unpack. I felt that the quote was a false price and we were ambushed by the actual total which the movers must have known was going to be more. Shady business practices in my opinion.

Moving
The initial call went well - Dean, their sales guy, was friendly and accommodating and basically talked me into using their company - I explained I was comparing their pricing to the PODS and he kept saying that they offer better service, more reliable, cheaper, etc. He convinced me they had it all and that I would save money using them. He quoted me over the phone a price of $265 for the loading and packing of my stuff. We even chatted about what I had because I had a treadmill (heavy and bulky) and a trundle bed and wanted to make sure his movers were comfortable moving those items or disassembling them and he said no. I explained what I had, it was a 2 bedroom condo and I was the only person living there. He still quoted me the same price and asked for a $65 deposit. No problem. He also said that I would probably fit in 3 vaults and they were $50 a vault.
So the day came when they came to get my stuff and began packing up their truck. Very nice movers, worked pretty quickly even asked if they could take a 5 minute break and then continued loading my stuff - they didn't work overly fast but didn't drag their feet either. After about 4 hours, they had everything loaded and they were ready to hit the road. That is when the problem occurred. He handed me over a sheet that showed the bill to be close to $600! How could that be? After discussing this with Dean and getting a quote, how could it be $400 OVER the quote? Well, I called Dean right there and then and his excuse was "I didn't think it would take them that long to load." Huh? Aren't you the professional and would know basically how long things take, especially if you are in the business for so many years? The cost was $65 per hour, plus another 2 hours for the drive, plus another 1 1/2 hours to offload my stuff at the other end. How come none of this was discussed at the beginning? Plus after the first free month, they charged me $200 a month because they claimed my stuff needed 4 faults, not 3. I didn't have that much stuff at all.
After a few months, I was ready for my stuff. They arrived and offloaded the stuff in under 1 hour! But, they had things wrapped with blankets with tons of tape and after they unwrapped the furniture, they spent some time taking all of the tape off each and every blanket, and charging me the time to do it. On top of this, they said it took them over 2 hours to load my stuff, how could that be when it only took them 1 1/2 hours to unload it? Since I wasn't there, I could not even say how long it took them, but I would guess it was not 2 hours, that is for sure. They charged me 2 hours drive, plus the 2 hours loading the stuff from the vaults and another 1 hour to offload. So another 5 hours at $65 an hour.
Bottom line, they should not have quoted a price if it was COMPLETELY inaccurate - Why tell me it was going to be only $265, when it turned out to be closer to $600? If that is what they quoted me to begin with, then it would not have been such a big deal - my whole isse was with the fact that they quoted one price and never even came close to it - and when I called them on it, their only excuse was "it was just a quote, they didn't know how much stuff I had." But even so, they never talked about the 2 hour drive time that I would be charged for as well - if they had said, it is $65 an hour, it will take us approximately 1 hour to get there (but double that because it is California and their contract says they can double it, even if it doesn't take them double the time), and will probably take us close to 4 hours to load, then no problem, I would have been expecting a bill to be close to where it was - but don't send me a quote for $265, and end up charging me close to $600! Don't use them unless you get all the hidden costs explained to you up front - their quotes are not going to be accurate.
