I have used Gary McWherter Window Coverings on several occasions over the years. He is simply the best. His knowledge, expertise and workmanship is beyond expectation.

Working with Gary and his son was excellent! Six months ago we hired them to install plantation shutters in our sun room. It was exactly what the room needed and they have been working perfect. Our family appreciates the shutters every single day. I can't wait to have them back for the rest of our house! Great job guys! Thanks again!

Gary McWherter is one of the best individuals and companies I have ever had do any work on my house. The Hunter Douglas product not so much. Many many issues but Gary never quit until he got all problems resolved. I would hire Gary and his company in a heart beat for any additional window coverings.

Gary is great.  We were living out of town and only at our new home sporadically before we got fully moved in.  Gary was able to fit us in each time we were in town to get us through the measurements and installation.  He was prompt, personable and is a perfectionist when installing. I very highly recommend him and would absolutely use him again!

Gary and Tyler were fantastic!
We had only inquired about fixing the roman shade, which they fixed in no time.
We then showed Gary the problems with three Hunter Douglas shades (which I hadn't mentioned in our original discussion).
Gary was just wonderful to work with. He explained what he was going to do and showed us a few tips for working with the blinds.
He had the tools and hardware to handle all issues.

I was contacted promptly after my request.  We scheduled a free in home design consultation.  Gary met me at my home where he provided a recommendation on the type of shade and colors for the nine windows.  After the consultation, I contacted Gary to go ahead with the project.  I signed an invoice and paid have the total cost.  The shades arrived approximately 2 weeks later.  Gary contacted me and scheduled a time to install the shades.  Gary and his son arrived promptly.  They took down the current shades and installed the new shades.  It took approximately 1 hour to install all the shades in nine windows.  They disposed of the old shades.  Overall, my experience was excellant in terms of cost and time.  Gary was professional and knowledgeable on the products.  I would recommend McWherter Window Coverings to family and friends.  I would also use them again for any window covering needs.

They were great. Mr. McWherter come to our home with samples When we made our choices he measured the windows and within days sent pricing information.
They installed the blinds within 4 weeks. The were prompt and had all the work done within three hours. The are beautiful and we are very happy with them and the service

Gary came over to estimate to our house.  He was very courtious and polite.  He was not pushy at all.  My husband and I felt very comfortable talking with him.  He helped me to choose right kind of shade for our specific decor.  He has a wonderful color sense.  
He promised the next actions and followed through everything smoothly.  He came back with his colleague to install the shade.  It took less than a half an hour, everything was so smooth.  Now we have a beautiful shade enjoying looking at everyday.  I can recommend him to my friends and family strongly.  Thank you very much, Gary.

We had such a wonderful experience with Gary.  We recently moved into a new house and were eager to get some windows and blinds in for privacy and decor.  Gary worked with us to accommodate our work schedules to come over at times that worked for us; he showed us lots of different options in our price range and spent a ton of time going over options with us.  In the end we selected a mix of blinds and curtains in coordinating colors, and Gary and his son installed them all for us in a timely manner.  The installation looks flawless, and the product is very high quality.  We were so happy with the results that we have since ordered an additional set of blinds on a large window that is currently curtained (we wanted blinds + curtains to give us additional options).  And last but not least, Gary was a complete pleasure to work with.  He was friendly, easy to work with, accommodating, and friendly.  We would gladly work with Gary again, and would highly recommend him to our friends.

We had an amazing experience with this service provider, owned by Gary and operated by him and his son.  
    From the very first assessment appointment, to the 2nd detailed measurement session, and to the final installation, Gary and his son exhibited nothing but professionalism, honesty and workmanship.  Today, the current heat wave peaks to upper 90's; we are so grateful as we are enjoying the shutters Gary and Tyler installed for us yesterday.  
    With every meeting and phone call, Gary was punctual, courteous and precise.  In addition to sending reminder in advance, he called / texted ahead to confirm his arrival time with each of his visits. 
With our requirements, he was very patient to show us the options (specifically, material, style, model and color/shade, etc.) and candidly offered the pros and cons of each option.  His price is fair, and more importantly his products and service are excellent.  
Their actions; our observation:
    In his second visit to take the accurate measurement of each window, he noticed that one of our exiting shutter leave was broken. On the day of installation, he brought the material and repaired the broken leave for us.  He did the repair without us asking him and did it free of charge.  Gary and Tyler, Thank you!
    As for the installation, Gary and Tyler organized the supplies and materials in our garage neatly before proceeding with their work. And they completed the installation ahead of the allotted time without any mess left behind.  
    We definitely will hire them again and would recommend them highly.

We would highly recommend McWherter Window Coverings.  Throughout the process, Gary McWherter was very responsive and always professional.  He was a pleasure to work with.  We weren't sure exactly what we were looking for, and had some "challenging" windows to dress.  We knew we wanted plantation shutters for the two front bedrooms, which Gary agreed would look good.  We have a large arched window in the dining area and sliding French doors in the living room.  Quite honestly, we really hadn't thought much about window treatments when we were doing the remodel.  Gary asked a lot of great questions and  once we decided on what would cover the windows, he brought in many samples to choose from.  It was all a bit overwhelming, but Gary was patient and offered some excellent suggestions.  We ended up doing Luminette Privacy Sheers in the living room which look fantastic.  We were concerned with privacy and "darkness" issues throughout the house, and Gary took all of this into consideration when he made suggestions.  Over the arched window in the dining area, we decided on Silhouttes (its actually one big window and two windows on the sides which complete the arch).  We have received many compliments on the window treatments and are thrilled how they turned out.  Gary and his son Tyler did the installations, and they were both so professional and on task with what needed to be done.  We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

Gary was one of three providers we were looking at.  While all of them were knowledgeable and professional, Gary went the extra mile to give us more options that would fit our budget and needs. We had a lot of windows to cover and I knew it was going to be pricey. I appreciate that Gary presented us with less expensive options that would still meet our preferences. He came twice to show us the different options and get precise measurements.

Installation with his son and nephew went very smoothly. Gary is clearly very experienced and good with detail. The blinds look great and I'm confident that if anything breaks or malfunctions, Gary will there to fix it.  He is a pleasure to work with.

I could not be more pleased with our experience with McWherter. Gary is an excellent communicator: clear in message and quick to respond by phone, email or text. There was never a delay or misunderstanding in communication.
We had a pretty clear idea of what we wanted but Gary made us realize that we had more to think about than we realized, like the weight and thus material of the blinds given the size we needed and where the pull cords should hang in each room (i.e. in reaching distance of the sofa rather than at the opposite end of the room; away from the fridge in the kitchen so that the pull cords wouldn't end up behind the fridge).
I was impressed with the selection McWherter has even within our narrow range of needs.
There was a quick turnaround from our custom order to installation scheduling and completion. More than six months later, we have had absolutely no issues or surprises with our blinds.
The service was top notch from start to finish. Gary is a professional but pleasant and funny person, and an all around delight to work with. Highly recommend.

Gary has been great to work with. He came to our home quickly after our initial contact, on time. He helped me to navigate the multiple options available to us with samples. After a few quotes, we agreed on a solution that met our needs and  budget :-) Gary has always been very responsive and professional. He  quickly came to to replace one designer screen roller after the  mechanism broke. The product quality is great. This one screen must have been damaged in shipping or something. Overall, we've very happy with  our screens.

Very high level of professionalism and good cheer.  My only reservation is that I noticed a black smudge on the white curtains after Gary left--if he saw it, he did not bring it to my attention.  But perhaps he did not notice it.
It's my sense that he is committed to high quality and excellent work--and he does his very best to deliver both of those.
