Description of Work: I got a quote from Michael Hoff General Contractor for remodeling work.

Description of Work: Our home was build in 1956 and the guest bathroom and adjoining bedrooms needed to be brought up to date. Michael's crew completely gutted the bathroom and he redesigned the layout to add a separate spa tub and separate glass shower. It was necessary to move one of the walls about a foot in order to accommodate the separate amenities. The toilet was also relocated to next to the vanity. Michael suggested a hanging vanity that is quite often used in hotels...thus exposing open floor space and room for feet...it also make it a lot easier to clean underneath...the look is very impressive. We chose a crushed marble vanity top with matching linen cabinet (for towels) that we picked out at a vendor suggested by him that we were very pleased with. The floor was done in 12" tiles with matching 6" tiles on the walls broken up by a blue glass accent tile. Michael tiled the outside of the Spa bath tub thus hiding those ugly access panels that are used. We have access to the tub pump, piping and electronics etc. from inside a bedroom closet in which he installed an access panel. Michael picked out a American Standard brand spa tub (not the hour-glass shape) which provides more room while bathing. We decided to order a special blue river-rock for the shower floor which makes the glass shower look incredible. Recessed ceiling lights and vanity mirror sconce light help compete the look. Michael scraped all the popcorn ceilings in both bedrooms, closets etc and added crown moldings in addition to installing sliding doors in-place of the two separate closet doors. Everything was painted in all areas and new fixtures were installed. Custom wood moldings were installed over the sliding closet doors so the metal tracks would be hidden.

Description of Work: Michael Hoff remodeled my two bathrooms and my kitchen. Both bathrooms were gutted. The ceilings were raised in both rooms. Walls were moved and cut down to create more space. A big tank water heater was replaced with a tankless water heater, which allowed for the master bathroom to double in size. Michael opened a wall between the kitchen and dining room that created a feeling of immense space and opened up a beautiful view to the outside. I chose the tiles and colors, and Michael and his team executed all of the tile, granite and stone work perfectly. Michael did crown moldings in the kitchen and one of the bathrooms, he built a Wainscot wall in one bathroom with inlaid glass tile - all beautiful work. He re-wired the kitchen and the bathrooms for better electrical outlet locations and lighting, and he re-piped the plumbing in these 3 rooms. Michael is a genius electrician, plumber and craftsman and painter. Michael Hoff also built a custom walk-in closet, an office with dutch doors, and he finished my attic space so that it is now a great storage room with a pull-down ladder as an entry. He also put in a new outdoor floor on my two patios.
