We hired Jeff to add on 2 rooms to our home. A new room for our daughter and extending out our kitchen. We were very pleased with the price quote. Once the job started we were thrilled how reliable, nice and accommodating he was. I was especially pleased with how clean he kept the job daily. With young kids it was important to us that especially the kitchen was usable during the construction and kept clean. We had the clear bid from him and came in on budget... a BIG PLUS! Any extras we wanted he accommodated those requests in a timely fashion. Jeff also had great design insight and helped us really maximize all usable space for our daughters new room, built in custom closet, figured our the perfect spot to put the windows in for maximum light in the room etc. The finished product was beyond our expectations. Custom paint, crown moldings, window ledges, doors, skylights, tile etc. FIVE STARS!

I hired Jeff primarily because of the good reviews on Angie's list. Our agreement was he would act as a General Contractor - at the rate of $50/hour to coordinate work being done at our new home. Jeff was initially very responsive and we were pleased with the quality of his work. He communicated with us often and made sure that we understood the work to be done. He seemed genuinely interested in providing us with good value. The problem started straight away with the master bath. My expectation of him acting as a general contractor was he knew the building laws, etc. and would take care of any neccessary paperwork. Right after he started demoing the bath, he called to say the building inspector had stopped by & was fining us because we did not have the neccessary permits. As the homeowner, I had to pay a $400 fine because of the lack of permit. I let this one go because I thought, perhaps, Jeff believed we wanted to save money and try to do the work without permits. I made it very clear we wanted the correct permits. After this incident, we had a lot of work going on, so we asked him to hold off a bit on the bath. The work on the bath was agreed in late Jan. We had weeks where nothing was done and no one was at the house. Jeff did call and say that this was just the way things go on the bath - you have to wait for permits, etc. We were patient. He also assured us he had not been working on the bath, so "not to worry" he was not charging us. Finally in March progress began to happen with the carpentry (we were very happy with the electrician and plumber). The bath was framed and the sheet rock was finished. We believed all that was needed was tiling. Jeff gave us a bill which we questioned because of his charge for 40 hours of supervision, when he had told us he had not worked much. But we paid him and he said the tiler was to start the next day (Sat) or Mon. We gave him a deposit for the tiler. That was the last we have seen of Jeff Campbell dispite numerous phone calls and attempts to contact him. We have filed a formal complaint with the State Licensing Board. When we tried to hire a tiler, he showed us that the carpentry was of extreme substandard quality & said it was impossible to tile. We hired an independent house inspector who confirmed that the wood used was old and dry, there was inadequate support for windows, the bath was inadequately framed, there were holes left in the flooring ..the list goes on. We have a quote from another contractor for $23k - he also says all the work Jeff completed must be redone. I cannot describe my disappointment in this man's work. When you raise an issue with him, he immediately blames you as a customer, saying everyone loves his work... well... I for one do not appreciate the bath I have right now, which is open to the outside and needs complete redoing.

It was fine. We hired him to install a swing set but my husband had him do everything else because he was so easy to get along with and he worked like a perfectionist and was so careful and highly skilled in his craftmanship.

I was impressed by Jeff's creativity and vision. This one car garage was nothing more than a shed for my garden tools. It was filthy with no walls but Jeff instantly saw potential in the space. He was very excited to work on the design, and the whole time he was working, he kept the job very clean.

He exceeded my expectations on all levels. The only draw back is that he always has a large German Shepard with him. I asked him to keep his dog home while working with me and Jeff was understanding and the dog never came back.

We recommend Jeff as a General Contracter because he is professional, consistent, honest, responsible and reliable. In addition, Jeff is an amazing carpenter. He is very skilled in finish carpentry and his workers are very well trained, honest, hard working, responsible and him and his crew conduct themselves in such a CLEAN and professional manner in my house. We initially hired Jeff just to hang up our plasma TV but when we experienced how skilled he is as a carpenter, we asked him to build a door frame to a space in our house that was a storage area. We always wanted to have a door there to hide the junk we store in it, but one wall is at a curved angle and the other was at a diagonal angle so it required very skillful framing to build the door jam. Jeff's amazing finish carpentry made the door look flawless and turned it from a storage space into an actual room. Once we met his staff, we were so impressed by his knowledge and professionalism that we asked them to remodel our master bathroom. They moved walls, pipes and electrical -- it IS FLAWLESS! I highly recommend Jeff Campbell -- when they demolished our old bathroom and took down walls, we were expecting a MESS. WHEN WE CAME HOME THAT NIGHT, EVERYTHING WAS CLEANER THAN THE WAY WE LEFT IT BEFORE DEMOLITION. Jeff's carpentry is exceptional and he has a gift for interior design. If he works in your home, you would be so lucky to get such a talented, skillful, professional and responsible General Contractor.

The guy is a general contractor, and a finished carpenter so he actually works along with his helper...Very polished. The work was so beautiful....can't believe it....have had some bad experiences in the past with contractors not showing up, not even calling...leaving in the middle of the job. ALSO, the most important thing is that I felt safe while he was in my home and he finsihed when he said. He was SO CLEAN when working...like i said it was shocking to have someone actually leave the house cleaner then when he arrived. He is a local Palisadean homeowner.
