They never did complete the job. I have been trying to get them to finish up for the last three and a half years. They don’t return any calls anymore. Some of their stuff like cabinet work and the like were done real nicely, but I am not really excited about taking seven months to build some kitchen cabinets inside my house. The cabinets are pretty nice once they got them done, but it shouldn’t take anybody seven months. I could have gone back to community college and become a cabinet maker in the amount of time it took them to do a small amount of wall worth of cabinets and stuff. The cabinets are nice. The painting turned out nice, but overall, the overseeing of the construction was a complete failure. I had to tell them about a lot of things. They weren’t up very much on newer stuff and talked us out of things I wanted to get done. I figured they couldn’t or didn’t want to do it or whatever. We had to fire two guys who were putting flooring and doing a bathroom tile and stuff. We had to fire both of them because they went through two sets of tiles building a 6 by 8 foot shower. I am sure they didn’t know what they were doing. Secondly, they sent guys out day after day with nobody that understood English. Most of the people that worked with them did a good job. The electrician did a very good job. We had heated floors put in our kitchen and our bathroom and they only heated about half of the flooring. We tried to tell him that it wouldn’t heat the rest of the flooring and he told us that we didn’t know what we were talking about. It was a complete disaster. We can’t sue him now since it is way too late. The only thing that happens every time we try to do anything is that the sub-contractors come back and put mechanics’ liens on our house, saying they didn’t get paid in full by the contractor. We can’t afford to go to court and spend more money in court than I would.
