ELEGANT NAILS

Having my nails done here was a painful, unsatisfying, and frustrating experience. My technician, Thong, was careless and totally unskilled with nails. For starters, the nail polish from my previous manicure was not properly removed before the acrylic was applied so I walked out of the salon with dark rims around several of my nails. The buff job he did shaved flesh from the cuticles of eight of my fingers. Two of these wounds led to infections. When my fingers started bleeding profusely, Thong merely recommended that I go wash my hands in the sink. When he was done, my nails were discolored, the tips were uneven, and the dark polish he left under the acrylic was totally visible. I returned to the salon after I showed my mom the finished result and she voiced my own thoughts about how they looked. Thong did fix the uneven tips and painted the nail pink so they looked less discolored, however, there was no way to fix the leftover polish under the acrylic so I've had to just learn to overlook it. The infected cuticles are another story- extremely painful and gnarly. Even though the salon is ten minutes from my house, I plan to avoid this place like the plague from now on.
