Very well. Marshall came to estimate, gave us a fair price and we accepted. We set a date together, his crew came on time did the work efficiently. It turned out one joint needed more attention and Chris responded quickly to make the fix. We'd say if you have gutter work to be done you won't find a better company to do it.

The new roof is of high quality and looks great. The install was done in July. When early rain in October arrived, there was a small amount of moisture at the site of a previous leak. It took a couple of return visits, and wasn't until the substantial rain in late December that the source of moisture was detected and repaired. It is mid-January and so far everything is dry.

They did great work and were fast! And a great price. Initial dialog was pretty good. Very helpful, and responses in about a day. They showed up a little early which is both good and bad. Good, because I had to go somewhere, and it let me talk to them before they started. Bad because I was not able to talk with them when they left. They left before I go back, and didn't tell the folks in the house that they were done, so that was a little disappointing. Also, I've been trying to pay, but the invoicing process has been one-liner emails back and forth, and the responses are a few days in between. I wish I could get it all done in one clear message about what they need from me to pay. It's a little inefficient.

From the bidding process to the final completion, everything was done just right and as painlessly and quickly as possible. The communication was great, workers on time, stuck to promised timeline, cleaned up, friendly and accommodating. Price was comparable to other bids we got, but overall preferred to deal with Tony Farber, over all others. Additionally, we had an problem which entailed a roofing nail puncturing a water pipe which was placed too close to the roof by the builder. Luckily the flood was discovered by his crew, but still caused damage to the ceiling sheet rock in one of the bedrooms. Tony took care of it right away and sent someone to repair at his expense. This demonstrated his commitment to wanting a satisfied customer and going the extra mile to make sure we were totally satisfied. This kind of integrity makes all the difference. I have already recommended him to some of my neighbors and would recommend him for running a solid, reliable company. BTW, we love our new roof!

I am most pleased with the work of Marshall  and his crew.  
I contacted Western Sierra via their referral on the Angie's List site.  
Marshall came out the next day for an inspection and price quote.  
Our installation was scheduled for 1 week later.  
Marshall called the morning of our repair, and stated that his crew would be here between 12 and 2pm
The installation crew headed by Ruben arrived at 12:40pm   
Ruben was at my door at 1:50pm to have me inspect the job and collect payment.  
All debris was collected, and hauled away.

The background is that, due to two months of heavy rain, it is virtually imposible to get a roofer on the phone.  I called Angies List and described that I needed a roofer who was also familiar with solar.  I called 4 recommended places. Tony at Western Sierra returned my call in 15 minutes and came to my house 4 days later. He was cheerful, polite and on-time. He quickly diagnosed the problem and didn't try to talk me into any more work than I needed.
The roof has about 1-2 more years in it.  My experience was excellent. I plan to call Tony/Western Sierra when I need to replace the roof - his firm has the benefit of doing BOTH roofing and solar.

Western Sierra was a fast responder to may call, and came to my door right on time, right on schedule.  I love it when my time is honored with punctionality.  The 2 men were enthusiastc workers, got the job done and before they left, reminded me that if for some reason it leaked again, to give 'em a call & they'd be out in a flash to give it another shot without any extra charge.
Well, indeed it did leak again.  And they were out in a flash!  After fixing it a 2nd time, I never saw another leak. Yay!
