They damaged and stole over $6000 of our items.

Beware! Now in the process of working with a lawyer. This has been a 6 month unresolved process. We have tried disputing and filing fraudulent charges with our bank, but if you willingly give them your credit card for the job- it is moot. Therefore, we are working with a lawyer to resolve this issue. Using Unique Moving and Storage services from November 2, 2023 packing up, loading, and moving Mr. Reid’s items out of his home to the merchant’s storage unit, storing them to then unloading and unpacking the items March 1, 2023- Mr. Reid’s belongings were always and only in the possession of Unique Moving and Storage. Kelley Reid, the customer, never signed any documents about protection plans provided or that “all of the goods and services were delivered in good condition.” Regardless, the contract does not cover theft, therefore the contract would be null and void. Mr. Reid contacted Camarillo Police Department RB#: 24-27391 on March 4, 2024 reporting the stolen items. The merchant’s supervisor and employees informed Kelley Reid that the previous crew that packed up and moved his family out had been fired due to not being highly credible people: beating girlfriends, drugs, theft etc. and they acknowledged they know the two individuals who stole the items that were never received. Kelley Reid asked if the merchant would file a police report and the merchant responded that they would not now that the two individuals whole stole the items are dead: fentanyl overdose and the other hung himself. All Mr. Reid’s items were promised to be stored and provided back to him in the same condition as they were initially. The merchant is responsible and liable for stolen property due to their employees and all damaged items. The merchant also records all of their phone calls to prove items were stolen and not missing. Mr. Reid did contact the merchant the day of delivery and took pictures as did the merchant. The merchant also has video footage of all of the items prior to packing and moving out as Mr. Reid wanted everything put back the way it was: as the merchant handled the packing, loading, transporting, storage, unloading, and unboxing all of his items. This shows proof of Mr. Reid owning the damaged and stolen items. They have offered to cover the “missing/damaged items” for 60 cents a pound and told us we would most likely receive $300 from their insurance of the over $5000 worth of items stolen and damaged. I would strongly suggest not using Unique Moving and Storage. Tim Sherman has been our contact and has also relayed messages from the owner Rodney Watkins. We have communicated that an insurance claim that is based on weight is not acceptable that would only cover a partial amount of the items that were stolen and damaged is not acceptable.

Given our lack of preparation, we were not at all surprised that the move required an hour or so longer than originally estimated. Indeed, we were amazed that Richie and Carlos were able to complete the job so quickly. They grasped immediately what was needed and, working together as a clearly experienced team, transformed our vague plans into a smooth and efficient operation. We were particularly impressed with the care, skill and consideration that they both exercised throughout the job.

Nightmare couldn't imagine a worse experience. First our agent nicole who by the way this was her first sale. She brought in her boss who told us our house was great and would sell early. When nicole could not sell it she told use our house was a "fixer". I did all the work. I showed house everytime with a different agent who knew nothing about the house. Then she dropped price by 50k! The last buyer who came over was way under with his bid. I wanted out didn't want to sell. Refused to sign but unfortunately for me she was able to attain signature through electronic signing. I tried refusing the sell however between her and my husband intimidating me I wax out numbered and scared. I begged to not sell but it was sold. Now I lost my home. I was under alot of meds due to the fact fact of my handicap. I have spina bifeda. Now without a home I am in more Pain than I thought was possible. PLEASE don't let this be you. Find another company or sell it yourself. I wouldn't wish this on my enemy if I had one. Also the final walk though which you should get a week's notice in advance. This happened with one days noticed I was so sick and in pain I didn't let them in my room . I hope this helps anyone in my situation. With being under strong pain meds and being intimated by her, my husband and her husband intimidating me I would in my house....please take caution and finally an honest company and agent

Great crew and service. Easy local move. Two trucks 5 men, nothing broken, done before you know it. The way moving should be.

It went well.  Two people did the job.  One man and one women.  They had to dissemble the table and then reassemble and didn't have an electric screwdriver.  This was my only complaint.  They didn't charge more time BUT if they had I would not have been happy about it.   There were over 50 screws which took them a long time using a manual screwdriver.   Other than that, they did a good job.

We found this service to be excellent. We had a difficult move in that we had some things going to long-term storage, and some going to short-term storage. We packed most of our own (5,400 sf) home but on moving day there was still a bit of work to do. I was absolutely worn out by moving day and they barely let me touch a thing. The team completed the work for us, loaded and moved our belongings to storage and got everything to right place.
The team handled everything professionally and with the right touch of humor and friendliness.
We used them again a couple of weeks later when we moved into our short-term housing. Same great effort on an exceptionally hot day. Thanks guys!

Good job. Used Groupon coupon, so good price (a little pricey otherwise). No problems to speak of. Movers were good quality and very helpful.

They were able to move me after some of the bigger companies were unable to schedule me.

This mover was extremely professional and responsive. The initial interaction was great, with a quick visit to the origin home, review of contents and provision of a quote. The pricing was reasonable and fair, the scope was appropriate, and they had been recommeded by Graebel, who moved us across the country previously. That personal recommendation from our prior vendor was significant for us.
On the day of the move, they showed up promptly. The movers were courteous, cleancut and properly attired, professional, and quick. They provided wardrobe boxes for us to move our hanging items. This was a big help for those last minute items.
The entire crew was great. They did their jobs, worked well together, and were careful with our items. I would definitely recommend this vendor.
