Let me just say that this business no longer has integrity. Kim, who has been there as long as I've used them and who has a sparkling, robust personality which really instills confidence, (no sarcasm) unfortunately makes promises her service people have no intention of keeping and at this point it's clear to me she's in on what has become a scam. Their website says they wash the screens and clean out all the tracks, they brag that their company is unique in this and it's what sets them head and shoulders over the competition, w
but let me assure you, if they can possibly get away with not doing it (which means you are not standing over them supervising) they don't. But they will tell you they did and charge you for it. I told the happy-go-lucky ultra friendly Kim that I was having a family reunion and needed the screens washed with soap and water for sure this time. "No problem! We always do that!" But the service man showed up, raced through the job spending about 1-2 minute per window, and when I said "Gee... they just don't look that good. Did you wash the screens?" His response was, "I swear I did." I am angry at myself for paying him without wiping off a screen myself first and checking. For some reason I chose to believe him. I guess because I am not used to having someone swear they did something to my face when they didn't. Plus It was a crazy day with to s of people in the house and when I pointed out some debris left on the glass, he excused it away as bird poop or paint which I guess in his mind are not part of his job description. His attitude was just like, "Lady I don't have tine for this, your house is one if a dozen I have to do today so stop jerking my chain.". But when I wiped two of the screens with a damp cloth 2 days later, the cloth came back black. One wipe and it looked like I had wiped the inside of a planter. Ok, It's one thing to rush through the job, its another to charge someone for work you did not do. Those are not good. But then to lie about having done work you didn't do to the customers face? So I called them and left a very polite, very understanding message (no threatening undertone) requesting that they simply send someone out to wash the screens before my reunion since I had paid for that service. In fact I called twice. They chose not to respond to my call. Their routine response (I am guessing) is to offer a 10 % discount on the next job but since THIS job was 10% off because their former job on my apartment unit was so bad, that wasn't going to cut it this time and they probably figured they had lost my business so why even bother? Mike arrived at the scheduled time ready to work. He did a beautiful job on both the upper and lower levels of my home. This was the 4th or 5th time I've used My Window Man. The owner has sent professional, kind, respectful people to do the work. I appreciate the consistency.
