The first reason you should use this company for your automotive maintenance needs is their HONESTY! I took our 2001 Honda Accord to Cory at Street Tech when the odometer read 70,000 miles thinking that I had exceeded the recommended timing belt replacement service by 10,000 miles. He told me that he wasn't sure why I was bringing it in and informed me that a year or so after I bought this car, Honda had changed the recommended interval for timing belt replacement to 90,000 miles and that I didn't need to make the repairs for another 20,000 miles. I was shocked that a mechanic would tell me that a repair wasn't needed, especially when he knew that it would be over a year before I'd return. Fast forward 18 months. Our Accord was now ready for the timing belt change.. We decided to replace the timing belt and water pump as well as perform some routine maintenance service. We took it in again to Street Tech and asked them to perform the 90K servicing, replace the timing belt and water pump, clean the fuel injection system, replace the antifreeze and thermostat, change the spark plugs and change the oil. When they tore into the car, they found that one of the motor mounts was broken, so I approved having that replaced too. The service cost was $1279; parts were $607; and the motor mount replacement was $321. I feel that Cory and his team did a great job of discussing my car's condition, giving good advice on how and when to perform specific maintenance tasks, and gave me a lot of valuable service for what I paid. My car came out running noticeably smoother and I had the peace of mind of knowing that it would continue running reliably.
