Although the bid clearly stated new wire runs for the entire house, the electrician started by adding a ground wire to the old outlet boxes. He also tried to wire the new service panel into the old panel in order to reuse the distribution runs, which were in place from 1954. All of this work had to be redone once it was discovered that they were either inadvertently or purposely using old wiring.
There are holes in the floors that were not patched, drywall that was not closed, and visible old wiring/conduit that was not removed. The new service panel circuit labels were scribed by hand in thick black magic marker. The brand new wiring in the brand new service panel is not neat in the slightest degree and looks like a birds nest.
Overall, we are disappointed with outcome of the job.
