After having two heating and air services not diagnose our heat/air issues correctly, Todd came in like gang busters, diagnose the problem quickly, ordered the part, came back promptly to installed it, and had the heating and air unit purr like a kitten. He knows his stuff! We paid for the freon and his serviced was covered by American Home Shield.

The initial maintenance visit identified a problem with the flue. A second visit was scheduled for later in the week to repair the flue. The issues and options were described to me and I was satisfied with the work performed.

Todd was truly amazing. He was thorough, prompt and highly knowledgeable about heating appliances. He even gave us an education in filters. He found several problems caused by a previous technician and it could have started a fire. Todd tested a capacitor and replaced it because it was under performing. I would hire him again and again, I cannot recommend him more highly.

Todd was quick to return our calls, prompt on setting up appointments, kept us informed of progress/work needed/parts replaced, got our system up and working quickly, honored a discount coupon and was knowledgeable on how to get a partial cost refund from our city office. In other words, he was very knowledgeable and quick to make the repair. We plan to call him in the fall for a winter check on our heating system.

I contacted them on Saturday about 10:30am & I had the tech Todd at my home by 12:30 the same afternoon. Todd was polite, knowledgeable, informative & had my A/C cooling again in a short time. I’m very satisfied with the service I was given & I definitely will call Abbott Heating & Air again, if I need their services in the future. Highly recommend.

Todd at Abbott Heating and Air is absolutely great. Unlike most heating and A/C repair companies, Abbott does not try to take advantage of you or overcharge for their services. Their pricing is incredibly fair and far below any other quotes I have received from other companies for the same work. Todd is always punctual and efficient, and does a great job quickly diagnosing an issue and servicing the unit. I highly recommend this company for tune ups and repair to your A/C or heater!

This company has been my a/c contractor for years. They've fixed my current heat pump and my previous heat pump, sometimes fixing the bad work done by a different contractor. Todd Abbott is the best person I've had work on my system. Trust level is very high, and he always gives me extra tips. He's here when he says he'll be and always calls to give me a heads up and ETA when he's on his way.

The owner of Abbott came out and fixed the minor problems on the AC. He explained the source of the problem and explained that, unlike what another company had told us, that we would not need to replace the entire system. He was courteous and professional and I'd definitely use Abbott's services again. No fear-mongering, just straightforward explanations and solutions.

Went really well. The guys came out and diagnosed the problem right away. They ordered the part and did the install work in a couple of hours. My only, "Go to" for HVAC work. Hire this group and you wont be disappointed.

Worst experience in my life, if you have home warranty don't go to though these people. This company will try to screw you to the wall, in order to make as much money as possible. Tech was in my house a total of 2 mins. The ac was on, and frozen. Tech stomped off, saying he could not work on. Which is BS, I used to deal with this all the time. Then my wife mentioned we have own R22. Then the tech told me they could not use, which is BS. Also stating, that we would have to drain out the old entirely and add new. Also BS... Tech realized he couldn't make maximum dollar and stomped off, when back to the office. And he and his wife worked out this plan of BS to try to snow us over. And if working for a home warranty plan is so bad, then dont!!! This company uses things like "peoples suffering" to make maximum buck!!! Reminds me of a company ran by tweekers!!! This could have been a slam dunk, but were to focused ripping people off. Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And why do I know so much, I was a stationary engineer for the county of Sac and I know what it takes to do this line of work. I have moved on from the profession. And I assumed a home warranty would be the best for these situations. Not so much....

"We did respond to this home owners property on 06/23/2017 through his home warranty, not through Angie's List. We diagnoses the unit as being low on Freon and yes the system was frozen as customer stated. We could not charge the unit in the frozen state. We advised the Home owner we would have to reschedule for the next day. At that time we also advised Mrs. of their estimated share cost on the Freon, which is policy through their warranty company. She then told me, she had her own Freon that she wanted us to use in her system. I made her aware, we could not use her Freon as we had to guarantee our work. We could not be sure what was in her Freon jug and could not guarantee if the Freon they had may have been contaminated. At that time I left the property & we rescheduled the return appointment for the repair & recharge of Freon for the following day. Later that day Mr. called upset that we would not use his Freon and started slandering us & cancelled their appointment. So, we never went back to finish any repairs. Please know, we never charged the homeowners any money for our time out. We are sorry that their experience did not turn out like they wanted. We hope that they got the a/c problem was resolved to their satisfaction. We are a reputable company. We have been in business for 25 years with happy customers. This is achieved by charging fair prices and providing good customer service."

Todd was great, and went above and beyond to repair our AC. He rebuilt the motor and replenished the freon. Although we had to pay a few hundred dollars out of pocket under our home warranty plan, it was well worth his skill, experience, and effort.

After paying another company for a tuneup and freon my unit stopped working when I ran it several weeks later. Abbott Heating was quickly able to identify problems and correct them. Maybe the other company sabotaged the unit.

We previously had another provider out to do a tune-up, but that other provider only tried to scare us into buying a $7000 new HVAC system. Abbott Heating & Air analyzed our HVAC, explained and performed the minor tuneups that the other provider should have done. Our HVAC system is working fine.
