I contacted Ross of Ross Wood Flooring for a quote on my condo which needed laminate flooring. We spoke on the phone for some time and he provided me with some options and a basic quote based on my estimated square footage. He was very knowledgable and geared me away from certain laminates which he noted would not stand up to the test of time. When we met at the condo, he showed up on time and was very professional throughout the process. I was provided with an assortment of samples but ultimately went with his suggestion for durability, color, and affordability. He called back a few days later to finalize the pricing, material, and a start date. On the day of the demolition, he and his workers arrived promptly and worked efficiently. They took the time to keep everything as clean as possible. Since it was laminate, installation went quickly once demolition was completed. The final product is wonderful. I wish I could post pictures. Aside from being a beautiful silvery light brown finish, it has worn well despite the abuse a living room takes. I have recommended Ross to friends who are also happy with their results. I plan on using Ross Wood Flooring again myself for future projects.

Ross is highly knowledgeable and honest. There was an issue with a cleaner we had used on our floors (our fault not his) but he redid the initial seal, free of charge, to make sure we had the level of sheen we wanted! Ross would not give up until our floors looked perfect. It's rare to find a company that stands by their work in this way! Ross is a true professional. He spent hours with my wife and I, assisting us will evaluating multiple options to remedy a floor situation we had that was the result from an upstairs leak. Ultimately, the option we chose had to be completed in conjunction with cabinet installers, remediation companies, and granite installers, all while my wife was 9 months pregnant. Ross lived up to his promise to have the project completed before our new arrival, amidst numerous unforeseen obstacles. Ross and his team worked efficiently, were diligent about caring for our belongings, and left the work area looking better than it did before they started. Ross was very responsive, helpful, professional, qualified and very trustworthy. He set expectations and he delivered on them. My floor is gorgeous, and I could not be more pleased.

Ross did a superb job. He showed up on time every day and worked hard throughout the day. He started by grinding down thinset on the slab to prepare the surface. He then glued down engineered hardwood on the slab. He pays extra attention to detail as he undercut the fireplace, installed stair risers flawlessly, and even crafted his own transitions into the kitchen which saved us money and looked awesome! He worked around other contractors needs in the house well and always kept us in the loop with his progress. Ross was very honest and there were no surprises whatsoever and would definitely hire him again. Wood floors look beautiful as Ross is a true master of his craft.

Ross was great. On time did everything he said he would and completed everything as planned on time and was always professional and accommodating.

Ross did an excellent job.  Great attention to detail.  Glue down over cement and nail down over wood subfloors.  Stair treads were installed flawlessly, with no gaps or caulking required, and look beautiful.  He undercut the concrete on the brick fireplaces so the wood floors went under the brick for a very clean look.  We had on floor board that we didn't like color of and he was able to replace it after the floors were already installed.  Ross was also very fast, installing about 500 sq. ft. a day by himself.  He cleaned up daily and did not leave a mess.  He performed all the board sawing outside. He was also able to get us a discount on the purchase price of the hardwood floors.

I contacted Ross Sealy by phone and Ross returned my phone call later that same day.  We scheduled a date and time to meet to discuss job and estimated costs.  Ross was on-time and walked me through the process of wood floor installation.  Ross shared with me pointers on what type of wood I should look for and provided me with the name of a business who could help me select the right wood for our home.  Ross' referral to this flooring business was extremely helpful as we were trying to match the new wood flooring with existing wood that was 30 years old.  My husband and I were able to find a near perfect match.  Ross also provided me with an expected start and finish date and he held to these dates.  In addition, moldings needed to be used, and Ross dropped off the moldings ahead of time so that the molding could be painted prior to installation. Ross was very knowledgeable and professional.  Ross also worked with our busy work schedules and was flexible when arranging for the delivery of the flooring and moldings.

Ross was very responsive to our initial call - he came out the next day to give us an estimate.

He gave us an excellent place to look at flooring samples and we found just what we wanted there.

We had some difficulty getting the floor product because of the dock strike in Long Beach but Ross kept us abreast of the problems and even apologized for the delay which certainly was not his fault. 

He had our floors demo'd in 1 day and had the entire floor laid in the next 3 days (2 bedrooms, 3 closets, the kitchen, dining room and living room. 

I only had 1 complaint and that was that a few of the boards in the living room seems to match too closely and I wanted them more staggered and Ross took care of it immediately - he didn't try to talk me into likely something I didn't and I appreciated that. 

He and his co-worker wasted no time - they worked hard all the time they were at our house. 

They cleaned up well at the end of their day and they were both very pleasant. 

They moved the heavy furniture and even put felt pads on the bottom of the legs that I had purchased ahead of time.

I would advise to follow his direction and take everything out of the furniture that remains in the house - it will save a lot of time in the end.

Ross was great!  During initial visit to give  estimate, he spent time going over different options that we could pursue, and was honest about the outcome for each one. He scheduled to come out and repair the patch one day after I called back. He and an assistant arrived on time, and finished the job quickly. The wooden planks were replaced, glued, and patched, with the overall area looking as good as before!
