My husband and I had several appointments with different contractors. When we met with Terry, we both felt he was very knowledgeable in all areas and had very good pricing. Needless to say, we chose Newland Construction. From day one we felt comfortable and at ease. 1. Move the small kitchen to our large dining room. 2. Moved dining room to former kitchen. (Swapping rooms.) 3. Dining room: former kitchen, removed wall for open concept. 4. New flooring. 5. Stairs: replaced carpet with laminate, replaced rails. 6. Living room: added a window seat with storage. 7. Living room: added entertainment wall with shelving. 8. Living room: added modern fireplace. 9. Added windows, moved sliding glass door. We loved the finished product! The project was right on schedule (five months), and we didn’t go over budget. As it is expected to run into a few snacks during any renovation, Terry and John were very responsive and Quick to resolve any issue. They were on top of the problem, and resolved with excellent results. We get a ton of compliments on our home. Thank you Terry, John and your crew. You’ve exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!!

It went very well. As with all renovations, there are issues that come up along the way, but they were always ready to meet , discuss and come up with solutions . It was particularly challenging since it was in the middle of Covid crises but Terry and John made our dream reno come true!

Newland Construction did a great job for our family. Terry and John are great guys, very responsive, and do nice work. Ours was a very large project, beginning on the outskirts of the Pandemic in 2020. They worked around challenges, were always good communicators, and ended up giving us the home of our dreams. Nothing is ever perfect on a job this large, but Terry and John always made sure to address things in a timely fashion, did a good job with all of the sub-contractors, and gave us really quality work.

Overall, the experience was a positive one. More time was required for the remodel than first estimated. Every effort was made to make the new deadline including working on Saturdays when time was lost to weather or waiting for inspections. We came in under budget because we had all done our homework up front and made few changes. The planning process was thorough so that all knew what was going to happen. It is a good idea to check work each day and stay on top of the process. I caught a mistake or two made by the sub contractor electrician that would have cost us time and money later. My builder would have caught these I am sure but because I checked each day , I saved us some time. The site was always cleaned at days end and made safe for us to inspect. It was a pleasure working with Newland. Every single thing was taken care of before the final inspection. The inspector was impressed.
