The first Little John's auction I attended was during December 2011, I went to their auction site, the Phoenix Club in Anaheim, got a bidder card and watched the fun. I ended up buying one item. Due to the California firearms laws, Little John's cannot release any firearms manufactured after 1898 at the auction, you have to go to their store and complete a California Dealer Record of Sale (DROS), background check and the firearm is held for 10 days. This is standard practice for retail locations as well.
