I bought a 2014 Ford C-Max Energi SEL from Ford of Orange on 4Oct14. I made the purchase using the Costco Auto Buying Service ((Authorization Number: 04414-1014-05385-0).and was supposed to get $2725 off the Ford MSRP before incentives and Tax credits. The dealership quoted an MSRP that was more than $1225 higher than the actual MSRP as shown on the Ford Sticker. As a result, they were charging me $1225 more than I was supposed to be charged. When I asked for the window sticker, they told me they couldn't find the Sticker (it had been accidently thrown out) and showed me a printed invoice showing the wrong price. When I returned the next day with the Window sticker I had found and saved from on-line, they claimed they made a mistake and missed Fords reduction in Price. They also had a "take a test drive and get $25 Gift card for Walmart?. I took the test drive and bought car and at first they said they had no record of my "Test Drive coupon". I went home and reprinted the Test Drive coupon and now they said that the Test Driver coupon number was not being recognized by the system. A week later they called and said I had to re-sign the contract because they had the payment date wrong (this was the third signing). I drove back to the dealership and was told that no one knew anything about the $25 test drive gift card. When I refused to re-sign the contract until we received the test drive gift card, the manager stomped out and brought in three $10 gift cards. This was the worst car buying experience in at least a decade. The dealership reminds me of the old ?bait and switch s*****? of years ago. Very disappointed that Ford would permit this. Excellent car; however, not a dealership that inspires confidence or trust in the Costco Auto Program
I took the car in for new tires. On the website it advertises that they will match any tire price, and that there is a $70 rebate when you buy 4 tires.
My service rep, Jason, could not get either of those specials to work in the computer...it kept returning invalid code. He was able to negotiate a better price on the tires for me, and gave me complimentary installation to make up the difference. Even though it is always disconcerting to have something that is on an active webpage with a current expiration date of 9/30/13, be "unavailable" I appreciate Jason's extra efforts to get my tires replaced at a reasonable price.
We always have the car serviced here and it is fast and reasonable, and your car is returned to you clean.
They have always been courteous and prompt. They provide me transportation to work. The car is ready, washed and vaccumed, by the time I pick it up at the pre-appointed time. Only one time did I arrive before it was actually ready to drive off, and my wait was only about 10 minutes. They have never been pushy about selling (I recently needed tires, which I bought elsewhere after comparing prices). I never feel they are recommending unneccesary services, and always get a "coupon deal", which keeps the price within reason.
